About Fresh Ibakery

Fresh Ibakery, located at 2210 86th St in Brooklyn, NY, operates as a Chinese restaurant with an in-house bakery. It is known for its affordable $7 lunch special, which includes a choice of three different dishes and a cup of soup. Cantonese BBQ is also highlighted as a popular offering, and customers can find a variety of baked goods available.

According to customer reviews, the availability of dishes for the lunch special may be limited, with many options selling out by mid-day, around 12:30 PM, and only a few choices remaining by 1:00 PM. Some feedback indicates concerns regarding the selection of meat portions, with one reviewer mentioning receiving mostly bones when ordering duck over rice and mostly fatty pieces when ordering roast pork over rice.

Another observation from a customer is that chefs are frequently seen smoking in front of the store. On a more positive note, several reviewers have commented on the pleasant and courteous service provided by the women working at the establishment, often noting it as better than other bakeries in the vicinity.

In summary, Fresh Ibakery offers a reasonably priced lunch special and Cantonese BBQ, alongside its bakery items. Customers should be aware of potential limitations in dish availability later in the day and consider the mixed feedback regarding food portion selection and the observation of chefs smoking outside.

1. Even though they sell 3 dishes+1 soup, but by around 12:30 most of the dishes are GONE (SOLD-OUT), & by around 1 pm only 2 or 3 dishes are left. 2. So if you walk to front & order duck over rice, the CHEF will grab SEPARATE pieces from the TRAY, & you will get mostly BONES. If you order roast pork over rice, he will pick SCRAPS from the TRAY, & you get mostly FATTY PORK. 3. Always see the CHEFs SMOKING in front of the store. 4. Most of the WOMEN working here are NICE & COURTEOUS, better than other bakeries around here.

Famous $7 lunch with choices of 3 different dishes and one cup of soup. Cantonese BBQ is very good too. Price is very reasonable. There is a bakery within.

On February 12, 2025, I visited this restaurant with my sister for breakfast. It appears that the restaurant only offers take-out, as there were no tables or seating available for customers. We were served by a full-figured female server, and I was surprised by the rude service we received. One of the items we ordered was noodle soup, which I’ll refer to as Noodle A. Noodle A was placed next to another dish, Noodle Soup B. However, the server mistakenly gave us both Noodle A and Noodle B. I clarified, saying, “Wait! We only wanted Noodle A, not B.” Her response was, “You said it, and then she (my sister) said it again; you guys said it a couple hundred times.” Objectively, this was simply a miscommunication that we only wanted Noodle A. Such misunderstandings happen every day in restaurants. Without her mouth, a quick action to return Noodle B to its original place would have resolved the issue in just a few seconds. I had hoped for a normal response from a server, such as, “Oh, no worries,” but unfortunately, that was not the reaction we received. When I asked her where we had said “a couple hundred times?” I sarcastically commented at the end, “Wow, you guys have professional customer service!” She responded by saying, “Yeah, I’ve been in this field for 20 years.” Very truly disgusted! I will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

I fell outside while crossing the street in front of the store last week and cracked one of my ribs. I went to this restaurant to see if they had footage of the fall and the cashier, who spoke English, acknowledged what I was saying and then proceeded to ignore me for 10 minutes. When I spoke up, she nodded, then ignored me again. Very rude behavior and no empathy at all.

Used to come here often for their chopped roast meats hanging by . Place has became overcrowded due to accepting food stamps that their quality went downhill. Their meats are a hit or miss, sometimes too bland, sometimes too salty. The cha siew (roast pork) is chopped poorly, very thick slices and it’s dry and lacking flavor. The roast pig skin is not even crispy, they give you the scraps that no one wants (lower leg meat). Some parts are very lean and dry. The roast duck is lacking flavor, the skin is very rubbery and sometimes leaves mouth full of oil. They also sell bread in the back of restaurant. The bread does not look appealing, taste was ok but do not get the steam white ones in the fridge, those taste bad. Overall quality went downhill due to influx of customers and demand that they start making their food with minimum effort to keep up with demand.
