Pretty solid ice arena. We're in town for a hockey tournament and they have pretty much everything you need. They don't have a pro shop but they do have a small kiosk by skate rental for things like water bottles and mouth guards. The facilities are fairly nice and the food is pretty decent.

Definitely very entertaining and action packed once the game began. We bought the family deal with hot dogs, chips, and a pop included. Fun, local, and not too expensive. Free parking and large parking lots on both sides of the building. The main hallway was busy as there are two ice rinks, and they had other skating events going on in the second rink as well as the Chicago Steel game in the other rink. There is also a bar / restaurant you can enter once inside the main hallway. Many families with small kids were in attendance. We will definitely return and recommend as well.

Updating this review... Follow-up: they definitely came through on our return visit. My son had a great time. Our first trip didn't go well but, with all the proactivity on their part to make sure we were set for next time, I think that was just an unfortunate day, not what should be expected here. We signed our 8-year-old son up for a youth hockey class. We had a bad first day experience. There is signage, but it is very easy to miss when crowded. It can be very unclear where to go and staff could be more accessible between programs. My young son became so overwhelmed and nervous about being with the right group, that he desperately wanted to leave before he could participate. However, staff from the rink were very quick to reach out and provide information. I get the sense that they really do care and our bad experience may well be an unfortunate, isolated event. With all they have sent in support the past few days, I was able to get my son excited for a second chance and we'll be there for another shot. It's been more than I would have expected. I may update this review again after this weekend.

Classic ice. Lots of stick and puck available in the off season. Get your skills up. Nicest of kindest folks running it. Best pro-shop around.

Chicago Steelq is sure to give you grand spots spectacle. These athletes give their 100 every night. Be sure to catch some good nachos on the bar next door. They're both economical and delicious
