About Fortune Wok

Fortune Wok is a Chinese restaurant located at 216 Jefferson St in Greenfield, Ohio. As part of the Chinese restaurant category, it aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the local community. However, recent online reviews offer critical perspectives on the dining experience at this establishment, particularly concerning the quality of the food and pricing.

Details regarding the environment of Fortune Wok are limited in the provided reviews. One reviewer mentioned their meal was "over priced slop," and another described the place as serving "trashy disgusting slop," but neither provided specific details about the restaurant's ambiance or cleanliness. Without further information, it is difficult to objectively describe the environment beyond acknowledging that customer experiences with the food have been overwhelmingly negative, which might indirectly reflect on the overall dining atmosphere.

The reviews do not explicitly detail the services offered by Fortune Wok, such as whether they provide dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Typically, a Chinese restaurant in this category would offer at least dine-in and takeout options. Given the strong negative feedback about the food quality, the availability and efficiency of their services become secondary concerns highlighted by the reviewing customers. Local users would need to contact the restaurant directly to confirm the types of services they offer.

Based on the provided customer reviews, a significant feature of Fortune Wok, unfortunately, appears to be the negative quality of its food. One reviewer described their meal as "disgusting over priced slop," stating that everything tasted precooked and as if it had been sitting for a while. They specifically mentioned that the fried rice tasted like cardboard and the crab lo mein had a minimal amount of crab meat, primarily on top. This customer strongly advised against dining at Fortune Wok and indicated they would never return due to the terrible meal and perceived overpricing.

Another reviewer echoed similar sentiments, describing the food as "cheap nasty rice" and the wontons as "dry." They also reported ordering hot and spicy chicken but receiving a dish with no chicken, only peppers. This individual went so far as to suggest that the place "deserves to be shut down" due to the poor quality of the food. Additionally, this reviewer claimed that the owners charged them more than the advertised price, adding another layer of negative experience beyond just the food itself.

The consistent use of highly negative language such as "disgusting," "slop," "terrible," "nasty," and "trashy" by both reviewers paints a concerning picture of the food quality at Fortune Wok. These are strong indictments of the restaurant's offerings, suggesting significant issues with food preparation, ingredient quality, and potentially even honesty in pricing.

Promotional information for Fortune Wok is entirely absent from the provided text. It is unknown whether the restaurant offers any discounts, specials, or promotions to attract customers. Given the severely negative reviews regarding the fundamental aspect of food quality, any potential promotions would likely be overshadowed by these concerns for prospective diners. Local users would need to inquire directly with the restaurant about any ongoing offers, but the strong negative feedback suggests that the quality of the food might be a more pressing consideration than any potential discounts.

For local users in Greenfield, Ohio, seeking a Chinese restaurant, the recent feedback for Fortune Wok is overwhelmingly negative. Both available reviews strongly advise against dining there, citing issues with food quality, taste, preparation, and even pricing practices. The descriptions of the food as "over priced slop," "cardboard," "nasty," and "dry" are severe and should give potential customers significant pause. The allegation of being overcharged further compounds the negative impression.

Given the strength and consistency of the negative feedback, it would be prudent for local residents to exercise extreme caution when considering Fortune Wok. The issues raised by these reviewers are fundamental to the dining experience and suggest a significant lack of satisfaction. Unless there is more recent information indicating a substantial improvement in the restaurant's standards, these reviews serve as a strong warning.

In conclusion, Fortune Wok at 216 Jefferson St, Greenfield, OH, has received very negative reviews from recent customers. Both reviewers described the food in extremely unflattering terms, citing issues with taste, quality, preparation, and value. One reviewer also alleged being overcharged. Information regarding the restaurant's environment, services beyond the negative food experience, and any promotional offers is not provided. However, the strong and consistent negative feedback regarding the food quality should be a primary consideration for local users when deciding on a Chinese restaurant in Greenfield.

Disgusting over priced slop. Everything was clearly precooked and had been sitting around for awhile. Fried rice tasted like cardboard. Crab lo mein had a bit of crab meat on top and nothing below that. Way way way overpriced and slop, I don't know if I mentioned that earlier. Disgusting, terrible meal. Never going back.

The lady at the counter, who seemed to speak little English, was very polite and courteous. We didn't wait long for our food, and the portion for price was awesome. I'll definitely be back.

So many people have no clue why this place is bad and that makes it so much worse. the store is gross and more than halfway to looking like an abandoned building . the food id dry and they use mexican rice or dyed rice which i cant stand from a chinese food place. if you cant make a good fried rice from scratch and have to use frozen yellow rice its probably not somewhere you should be eating Chinese food. typicaly low quailty meats used very thin and fatty when there is any. very rude when i asked if they used yellow dyed rice or if the made their fried rice with freshly cook white rice. as someone who worked for a first generation thia family this is awful food for a small town that doesnt know what good oriental food is .
