We popped in here and grabbed lunch before we went to the movies. I am picky about my Chinese but this was really good. I ordered the general tso plate and my fiance ordered a triple delight which had beef, chicken and shrimp. It was very good portions. They separate the meat from the rice in the to go container an I liked that. Food was very good and hot. You could see the steam coming off of it when you opened the container. Will definitely eat here again when we are in Charlotte and want chinese. This is a take out situation no where to dine in.
This is what Chinese food is supposed to be, humble, affordable and GOOD! It hits in a way that overpriced pretentious Chinese food cannot. The best part, though, is the man that works there. Not sure if he's the manager or owner but he's so delightful that I will volunteer to pick up the food from now on just to say hi. Atmosphere is on 1000...
We love fortune cookie 2! We order from here every few weeks and our food is always hot and fresh. They always get our order correct and usually remember us by order which is nice. đ I love this place because the staff is always so friendly and the food is ready so quickly. This is our go to take out when we don't feel like cooking. Thank you for such a consistent experience.
I hate writing a bad review but this place needs to up their quality. If you donât know what good Chinese food should be like, this place is for you. This is Americanized Chinese glop. Heavy sauces and lots of salt to cover mediocre cheap ingredients and the recipes are not true to the dishes. Ordered from a delivery service and with tip it was $60 for two people. They had a decent amount of stars so I figured weâd try it. The steamed dumplings were pretty good but I think they were packaged. The sauce was very salty. Hot and Sour soup was missing all of the ingredients that make it taste unique. No wood ear mushrooms, no roast pork, no bamboo shoots, no fresh scallions. Basically, a cheap egg drop soup with vinegar and chili flakes. Egg drop soup BTW was super salty and way too much corn starch. Ribs were average. Very little glaze like nobody spent any time basting them but a puddle of grease underneath as seen in the photo. Most disappointing was the Szechuan beef. I attached a picture of what it should look like. It is a simple dish. Beef flash fried with red peppers, hot peppers and scallion in a spicy sauce with peppercorn. PF Changs and Red Bowl makes it correctly. What I got was whatever vegetables were lying in the bin. Broccoli, snow peas, corn. You name it but no hot peppers or scallions. All Thrown in the deep fryer until mushy with some beef chunks and then covered in some Kind of brown generic corn starch based sauce. Again, I hate giving you a bad review but this is blatant âuse up whatever weâve got âcause they wonât know the differenceâ. Most of dinners went in the garbage and for the money thatâs just not right.
I just moved to the area and was told this was one of the top rated places for Chinese food so I went. Egg drop soup was probably the best one I've had from a place, the chicken fried rice was good but it had alot of onions - so if you are not a huge fan of onions I would say light or none. Dining room was weird and un-useful. Like why have a dining area but no servers and they don't bring the food to you. Like I had to order at the counter then go back to counter and get all utensils. I get it if it was a quick service like panda express but it wasn't so I thought that was odd. But overall a good experience. Prices were decent. Will return to try sweet n sour chicken.
