I've gotten take out from Fortune Cookie a few times and can safely say the food is consistently good. They prepare the meals rather quickly, lunch specials are fairly priced and filling. I love their egg rolls and general tsaos chicken. Highly recommend for Chinese take out lunch or dinner.

One of my fav Chinese spots since a kid. Everything here don’t miss. Shrimp and garlic sauce special probably my fav. Their chicken wings are solid, tofu and broccoli also a hit. I think they got good eggplant too, so vegetarian options are up here.

I ordered the wonton soup, which was absolutely delicious. The scallions were fresh and crunchy, and the meat was beautifully seasoned. My only complaint is that the noodles around the meat were SO soft that they had the consistency of snot. Ugg. I’m still giving five stars because the soup was so very good. (I’m sure they’re gonna fix this problem ; -) thanks!

Ok, so sometimes you get lucky and the food here is passable, but when it's bad, it's BAD. Even when it's good, it's kind of bad. The problem is that there are basically about 5 general menu items. No matter what you order, you're going to get one of these. General Tso? Sesame Chicken? Tangerine Chicken? Ok you all get these frozen battered chicken lumps in generic, bland sauce. That's another thing, a lot of food in the dishes here is clearly not fresh and from frozen. (Looking at you, various dumpling-type things .. and you eggrolls) but that is probably pretty standard at cheap Chinese Food places. My problem with that is that they are not very cheap. Chinese Food has a "base" price you can't get lower than, but there's no "base" quality so you're basically paying about the same wherever you go. With that in mind, why would you go here? Granted, Danbury chinese is pretty bad all around, but this is towards the bottom. I only go here because its close and I don't feel like driving into the downtown area. Attached, an example of the "generic" food items. This was billed as "Spicy Dumplings in Sesame Sauce". So let me tell you what this actually is. Well, it's not spicy that's for sure. These are the frozen wontons that go into the wonton soup, about a jar of peanut butter thrown on top, peppered randomly with sesame seeds, and the little red dot in the middle of all that? That's the spicy hot sauce. I about barfed in my mouth trying to eat this.

They provide good, consistent food. I like their hot & sour soup. Outside the menu, they have fried scallops, which I really like and fried shrimp. Good covid protocols as well.
