Forbidden City offers both dine-in and takeout services to accommodate your preferences. For those wishing to enjoy a meal at our location, we provide a comfortable dining area. However, it's important to note that our last seating for dine-in customers is one hour before our closing time. During the final hour of operation, we exclusively offer takeout service. This policy ensures that our kitchen and staff can efficiently handle all orders and prepare for closing while still providing delicious food for those who prefer to enjoy it elsewhere.
One of the standout features of Forbidden City, consistently praised by our customers, is the generous portion sizes of our dishes. One reviewer mentioned being "so impressed with everything we ordered" and specifically highlighted that "the portions are huge." Another customer who has visited multiple times also emphasized the large portion sizes, stating that they often order extra with the intention of having leftovers. Even our appetizer portions are substantial; one customer found the four-rib appetizer to be enough for a meal on its own. This commitment to providing ample servings ensures that you get great value for your money and are likely to leave feeling fully satisfied.
The quality and taste of our food are also frequently commended. Customers have described our food as "very delicious" and "amazing." One highly recommended dish is the honey shrimp dinner combo, which includes steamed rice (with an option to upgrade to fried rice for a small additional charge), soup, and an egg roll. This combo is a favorite among our patrons, offering a satisfying and flavorful meal with a variety of components. Another side dish that has received rave reviews is the beans with garlic, described as "very delicious and crispy." Additionally, our ribs, whether ordered as an appetizer or a meal, are noted for their sweetness and tenderness.
For the convenience of our dine-in customers, Forbidden City offers a parking lot located in the back of the restaurant. While one reviewer mentioned that turning left into the restaurant can be "a little funky," the availability of off-street parking is a significant advantage, especially in a busy area. We aim to make your visit as hassle-free as possible, from parking to enjoying your meal.

Amazing! My boyfriend and I were so impressed with everything we ordered. The portions are huge and everything was delicious. Staff was really attentive and friendly. Definitely one of our new favorite places!
I've been here four times now and the food is very delicious! Today I got a little more than usual with the intent of having leftovers for tomorrow. I ordered the ribs appetizer even though I was like, $9.99 is a lot for an appetizer? And then it showed up and I realized why. The portion is big! I was asked if I wanted the appetizer (4 ribs) or the meal (6?8? ribs) and I am glad I asked for the appetizer because the portion is enough for 1 meal alone for me. My favorite thing to get is the honey shrimp dinner combo which comes with steamed rice (+$2 for fried rice), soup, and an egg roll. The beans with garlic are also very delicious and crispy. The ribs are very sweet. The portion sizes are large and the food is delicious, I highly recommend. There's a parking lot in the back, turning left into the restaurant is a little funky. Staff members are very patient and attentive. If you want to dine in, come 1hr before closing, as they stop seating then and only do take out for the hour.
I have been here a couple times now, once to dine in and the other for take out, and I have to say, if you are from the East Coast and missing that incredible Chinese cuisine, look no further! It took me some time to find it but this is now my favorite place to eat. They have amazing duck sauce too. My second trip there I was greeted and taken care of by Jay. His energetic personality made me smile & laugh after a long day. I think all servers can take a page out of his book of hospitality. Egg foo young with the gravy is delectable and the rangoon is equally delicious. Forbidden City has a faithful patron with this girl!
Forbidden City is an absolute culinary gem, deserving every bit of its five-star acclaim! The food is a symphony of flavors, with each dish surpassing expectations. The chicken fried rice is a standout, a true masterpiece that has set the bar impossibly high. The honey shrimp and sweet and sour chicken are equally delightful, making every bite an explosion of taste. The menu at Forbidden City is a testament to excellence – every item is a culinary adventure waiting to be savored. From appetizers to main courses, the quality and taste are consistently outstanding. Equally impressive is the warm and attentive wait staff. Their friendliness and helpfulness enhance the overall dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're treated with the same level of care and hospitality. In every aspect, Forbidden City delivers a 5-star experience. It's a culinary haven where every dish is a delight, and the service is as exceptional as the food. A definite must-try for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience!
We had never tried this place. As we entered it looked very nice and clean. Waiter was pleasant and attentive. Decided on the family combo C. The soup came out first and we both enjoyed our soups, one was wonton and one was egg flower. Then the springs rolls came out and found those to be delicious and fresh as well. When the main entree’s arrived we quickly dug into them and made up a plate for each one of us. The noodles were heavy and lacked flavor. The vegetables in the broccoli and beef were not very hot. And the side vegetables were kinda just lukewarm as well. The general Tso’s chicken was hot but the chicken was a bit on the dry/over cooked side. We asked for more of the sauce to make up for the dryness of the chicken. Over all, we felt the service was great, nice atmosphere. All in all, it was an ok experience! Probably won’t go out of our way to go back here.
