About Food Express Chinese Restaurant

Located at 2003 S Decatur Blvd ste b, Las Vegas, NV 89102, USA, Food Express Chinese Restaurant is categorized as a Chinese Restaurant on our platform. Initial impressions from some customers were positive, highlighting a warm greeting and quick, friendly service. The food was described as "on point," with one reviewer expressing being impressed by the taste. The chicken was noted for being perfectly cooked and flavorful.

The restaurant seems to offer generous portions, with one customer mentioning that an entree was large enough to share and still have leftovers, making the dollar charge for a side of steamed rice seem unnecessary. The crab rangoon was also positively reviewed for being non-greasy with a hint of citrus. The atmosphere was described as calm and the place as clean, with an attentive and kind worker. A minor drawback mentioned was an odd flavor in the water.

However, a significant and concerning edit to a review paints a starkly different picture of the restaurant, particularly during the lunch special timeframe. This later experience suggests that entrees may be pre-cooked and simply reheated upon ordering, rather than made fresh. The reviewer described the food as chewy and dry, indicating a lack of freshness and quality. This customer, who had a previous positive experience, stated they would not return and would not recommend the restaurant, citing that the food was not made to order and not worth the money.

When the owner was informed of this negative experience, the reviewer felt their concerns were dismissed. This inconsistency in food quality, particularly the stark contrast between fresh and reheated meals, is a crucial point for local users to consider.

For those in Las Vegas looking for a Chinese restaurant, Food Express Chinese Restaurant presents a mixed bag of reviews. While some experiences highlight quick service, friendly staff, and flavorful, generously portioned food, there is a significant concern raised about the quality of food, particularly during lunch specials, with accusations of reheated and dry dishes. Potential customers may want to weigh these contrasting experiences before deciding to dine here. You can contact them at (702) 870-1595 or +1 702-870-1595 for further inquiries.

We were warmly greeted, I believe owners were having lunch at the time of my arrival, 4pm. The service was quick and friendly. Food was on point. At times did feel like a burden when asking for things, but all in all service about a 4 out of 5. Prob better for takeout. 3 people ate with 2 plates or orders. Total was $40 with 2 sodas and a tip. I definitely said wow a few times when eating.

Chicken was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Paid a dollar for a side of steamed rice since it doesn’t come with the entree, but the rice wasn’t necessary with the large portion of protein that was big enough to share with another person and still have leftovers. Crab rangoon wasn’t greasy and had a bright hint of citrus. Atmosphere was calm. Place was clean. Worker was attentive and kind. Only downside was that the water had an odd flavor, but five stars for everything else. Edit: ONE STAR. Visited during the lunch special timeframe, and all the entrees seem to be sandbagged—meaning it’s all cooked ahead of time for a presumed rush hour that never hits. Everything is just reheated when an order is placed. Everything was chewy and dry. Not made to order. Not returning again, and don’t recommend the place to anyone. When the owner was informed, he pretended like the food is always the same, even when advised that the protein was tender and cooked perfectly on another visit. Not worth the time for money. Plenty of other good food around.

I ordered shrimp egg foo young.... Now I'm all the places I've lived here in the States, I've never tasted nor seen any type of egg foo young like this! That is NOT a good thing!!! I am sitting up right now as we speak, fighting my stomach, begging that it stays calm and not regurgitate all I just ate. This experienced has made me NOT wanting to EVER eat Chinese food again!!

Came in for lunch and got the Family Meal A and got a choice of two entrées and a choice between bbq pork fried rice or chicken fried rice, we got sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork and the chicken fried rice. Was expecting the sweet and sour pork to be a little hard and crispy but was saucy and delicious! The chicken fried rice was so good and enhanced the flavor for both of our entrée choices. The staff was polite and attentive to our table during our meal. Before we asked for an item, they were there asking if we needed anything. The price of the food was amazing, for the family meal and drinks. we paid just over $50 and had leftovers for the road to snack on. I would have taken more pictures but once the food arrived, taking pics was the last thing on all of our minds. An impressive place with a lot of charm, great food, huge portions, and a must try next time you're craving some simple and mouth-watering Chinese food.

In LV for the week and ran into this spot on baby's birthday. Fire 🔥! Absolutely tasty. Great service. You get more than what you pay for.
