About Followsoshi (Quicitop)
Welcome to Followsoshi (Quicitop), your local Chinese restaurant situated at 135-24 40th Rd in the vibrant neighborhood of Flushing, New York City. As a dedicated establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Followsoshi (Quicitop) aims to provide a taste of authentic Chinese flavors to the local community. While primarily focused on takeout service, this restaurant offers a convenient option for those seeking a quick and easy meal.
Based on recent customer feedback, the experience at Followsoshi (Quicitop) appears to be a mixed one. One reviewer in December 2024 expressed disappointment with the Jian Bing, noting that the crispy noodle was excessively greasy due to being fried in old oil. They also mentioned a lack of scallions and cilantro, requiring them to request more. The sauce was described as neither particularly spicy nor flavorful. This customer also tried the Peking duck stuffed Jian Bing, acknowledging a decent amount of duck but questioning the value for the additional cost. On a positive note, they found the order taking process to be fast and efficient. It's important to note that this reviewer mentioned the restaurant operates primarily as a takeout establishment, with only two small tables available in the back. They also suggested that another, potentially better, option in the area was closed on Sundays.
Another customer offered a more moderate perspective, stating their satisfaction with simply being able to find Jian Bing in the area. While they didn't consider it the best they had ever tasted, they acknowledged that their expectations for Chinese food quality and authenticity in New York City had become somewhat lower. They described the Jian Bing as "ok" and "kinda pricey." This reviewer also corroborated the limited seating, mentioning around eight seats at two tables in the back that were often occupied. A notable convenience mentioned was the acceptance of WeChat Pay. They specifically enjoyed the roasted duck flavor of one of the offerings.
Considering these reviews, Followsoshi (Quicitop) appears to be a takeout-centric Chinese restaurant that offers specific dishes like Jian Bing and, based on one review, Peking Duck variations. While the speed and efficiency of order taking seem to be a point of praise, the quality and flavor profile of certain dishes, particularly the Jian Bing, have received mixed feedback. The limited seating arrangement suggests that it is primarily designed for customers looking to enjoy their meals elsewhere.
For local users in Flushing seeking a Chinese takeout option, Followsoshi (Quicitop) presents itself as a readily available choice. If you are specifically craving Jian Bing or are interested in trying their Peking duck stuffed version, it might be worth considering, keeping in mind the varied experiences shared by other customers. The convenience of takeout and the acceptance of WeChat Pay could be additional factors for some individuals.

It is always advisable to consider that customer experiences can vary, and recent reviews might not always reflect the current standards of a restaurant. The jian bing was disappointing. The crispy noodle was fried in old oil and was super greasy. They were so stingy with the scallions & cilantro that I couldn’t even taste it and I had to go back and ask them to put more in. The sauce was not that spicy or tasty. We also tried the Peking duck stuffed one and there was a decent amount of duck but not sure I would pay the $5 difference next time. They were fast and efficient with the order taking. Take out only with 2 small tables in the back. The other place that is probably better is closed on Sundays. Dec 2024.
I’m just happy to get a jianbing at this point really. Is it the best jianbing I’ve ever eaten? No. But these days my expectation for Chinese food quality / authenticity in NY is quite low. This suffices. It’s ok. Kinda pricey. No seatings (around 8 seatings in 2 tables in the back, firmly occupied for hours by some). Accepts WeChat pay. I like the roasted duck flavor.
Interesting to try new food. I had the jiangbing which is like a crepe filled with a fried dough, meat, and different sauces and flavors and spices. Very good! I want to go back and try the roasted cold noodles.
The best snacks I've ever had in US. As a person who grew up in Beijing, I've been desperately looking for 驴打滚 (a glutinous snack like mochi with red bean paste filling and wrapped in soy bean powder) and 糖火烧 (a sweet dough without filling, made with brown sugar and sesame paste). This store made my dream come true. So authentic and giving me a nostalgic feeling. Price is fair too. Cash only.
Never tried jianbing. This my first time.I choose peking duck. I’m obsessed.OMG I will get this every time I will saw.I’ll be back next time when I travel to flushing.
