Customer reviews indicate a generally positive experience with some notable points. One reviewer, familiar with the establishment's previous ownership of Molly's Seafood, found the food and service to be "great." The restaurant is particularly praised for its family-friendly atmosphere, with kids' meals served on "frisbees" or "flyers," which the children reportedly "absolutely loved." The portions for the kids' meals were also deemed satisfactory.

The complimentary fritters were a significant hit, especially with the children, with their texture and powdered sugar reminiscent of Denny's pancake puppies. However, the grilled chicken parmalini received a mixed review, with one customer finding it "alright" but noting a delay in receiving their side of linguini.

Service was a point of concern for some customers, with one reviewer describing their waitress as "a bit slow," potentially due to the restaurant's busyness. Parking was also noted as "rough," though the reviewer managed to find a spot. The restaurant's unique interior and exterior design were acknowledged, but the reviewer was unsure if they would return.

At the end of the meal, customers are offered a small sample of lemon sorbet, possibly to cleanse the palate. It's important to note that the restaurant imposes a credit card surcharge, which is not mentioned on the menu.

In summary, Florida's Seafood Bar & Grill offers a family-friendly dining experience with unique kids' meal presentations and complimentary fritters. However, potential customers should be aware of possible service delays and the credit card surcharge. The restaurant's unique atmosphere and generally good food make it worth trying if in the area.

Pretty good place. We heard that they also used to own Molly's Seafood which we loved so we came here to check it out. The food was great and so was the service.

The kids absolutely loved this restaurant. The kids meals are presented on top of a 'frisbee' or what the menu calls a 'flyer'. The portions for the kids were good enough for them. I ordered the grilled chicken parmalini, and it was alright. It's their take on a chicken parm, but grilled instead of breaded/fried. I didn't get my side of linguini immediately and had to wait about 10 minutes for them to bring it out. The fritters that were brought out complimentary were delicious. Their texture and powdered sugar gave me the impression of Denny's pancake puppies, if anyone is familiar with those. It was an absolute hit with the kids. Our waitress was a bit slow, and I suspect the restaurant was just busy, I don't know. The restaurant does have a unique look inside and out. The parking is a bit rough but I got lucky and found a spot. It's a spot to try out if in the area. Not sure if we will be back, but we were happy with the meal we got. At the end of the meal, everyone got a small sample of a lemon sorbet. It may be to cleanse the palette of any fishy or strong taste? The serving size of the sorbet is very small. Note, it's nowhere near the menu, but there is an imposed surcharge for credit card purchases.

I recently visited Florida Seafood Bar and Grill in Cocoa Beach after hearing so many great things about it from all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. I ordered the clam chowder in a bread bowl, which I was really looking forward to, but it arrived in a regular bowl instead. When I asked about the bread bowl, the staff informed me that they don’t have it anymore. I wish I had known that in advance, as I would have chosen a different appetizer. The chowder itself was lacking in flavor, which was disappointing. On the brighter side, the crab cakes were good, and I enjoyed the loaded baked potato. However, the cheese grits were watery and had a strong smoked flavor that I didn’t care for. My husband did enjoy the oysters, which he said were fresh, and the prime rib was also good. We also tried the gator tail, which was tasty, but I was hoping for homemade ranch instead of the standard salad dressing ranch. Our server was great and very friendly, but she was fresh back from maternity leave and seemed a bit unsure, which made it difficult for her to answer some of our questions. One thing that really affected our experience was the atmosphere. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and by 8:30 PM, as we were still waiting for our food, the staff started clearing tables and putting the chairs up. It made us feel rushed while we were still trying to enjoy our meal. We left right before 9 PM, and it felt uncomfortable with everyone busy cleaning up around us. It raises questions about how they would accommodate another table if they arrived close to closing time. I would be open to returning in the hopes of a better meal and atmosphere.

We had a very attentive server. The interior decor was a bit dated and I was disappointed that there wasn’t seating outside. The free corn fritters were a good touch. We ordered 2 different combo platters. The one w the crab legs for 1 dollar more was a much better option than the Carnaval combo.
