Based on the limited customer feedback available online, experiences at Flaming Wok appear to be significantly negative, raising concerns about food quality and accuracy of charges. One reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating that the restaurant no longer maintains its previous quality. They described their food as "greasy and nasty," indicating potential issues with food preparation and ingredient quality. Furthermore, this reviewer highlighted a particularly alarming experience with "crab sticks" that were described as "completely bad," suggesting the use of spoiled or low-quality ingredients. The reviewer questioned why such ingredients would be knowingly cooked and sold to customers, urging the restaurant to "do better," which implies a severe lapse in quality control.
Another customer shared a negative experience specifically concerning their pork fried rice. They claimed that the rice used was "Uncle Ben’s steam bag rice," which is generally perceived as a lower-quality, pre-packaged product compared to freshly cooked rice. Additionally, this reviewer noted that some rice pieces were still hard, indicating improper cooking. Beyond the food quality issues, this customer also reported being "overcharged," suggesting potential problems with pricing accuracy or billing practices.
Considering these two reviews, the available information paints a concerning picture of Flaming Wok. Both customers reported significant issues with the food quality. The first review highlights the use of potentially spoiled ingredients (bad crab sticks) and overall greasy and nasty food, indicating a lack of attention to ingredient freshness and cooking standards. The second review points to the use of low-quality, pre-packaged rice that was not even cooked properly, further reinforcing concerns about the care and quality of food preparation.
The additional claim of being overcharged by one of the reviewers raises questions about the transparency and accuracy of Flaming Wok's pricing. This can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a lack of trust in the establishment.
As a Chinese restaurant, Flaming Wok would typically be expected to offer a range of popular Chinese-American dishes, such as various stir-fries, noodle dishes, rice preparations (including fried rice), and appetizers. However, the negative feedback received focuses on the poor quality of specific items, namely the crab sticks and pork fried rice, which are common components of many Chinese restaurant menus. This suggests that the issues may not be isolated to specific dishes but could reflect broader problems with ingredient sourcing and food preparation practices.
Information regarding the environment of Flaming Wok is not provided in the available reviews. Details about the restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, or decor are absent. Similarly, the reviews do not offer any insight into the services provided, such as whether they offer dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Given that a phone number is provided, it is reasonable to assume they at least offer takeout. Delivery services might also be available, but this is not explicitly stated.
Features of Flaming Wok cannot be positively identified based on the current feedback. The reviews highlight negative aspects such as poor food quality, potentially spoiled ingredients, the use of low-grade pre-packaged ingredients, improper cooking, and inaccurate billing. These negative features are likely to deter potential customers rather than attract them.
No promotional information, such as discounts, special offers, or loyalty programs, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Given the serious concerns raised about food quality and pricing, it is unlikely that potential customers would be swayed by promotions without assurances of improved standards.
In conclusion, the limited available customer feedback for Flaming Wok in Parkville, MD, is overwhelmingly negative. Customers have reported issues with greasy and nasty food, the use of spoiled ingredients (bad crab sticks), low-quality and improperly cooked rice, and being overcharged. These are significant concerns that should give potential local users pause before choosing to order from or visit Flaming Wok. The lack of positive feedback and the severity of the issues raised suggest that significant improvements in food quality, ingredient sourcing, cooking practices, and billing accuracy are needed.

They don't have the quality they use to my food with greasy and nasty and why would they sell me these crab sticks that are completely bad they had to know this before they cook them do better
Came with pork fried rice, this is uncle Ben’s steam bag rice and some rice pieces are still hard and was overcharged!
This place is pretty good. Like A hidden gem. I ordered Shrimp fried rice , vegetable egg foo young , and general tso chicken and five wings and fries. Everything was really good but my only complaint is that the shrimp fried rice only had 2 shrimp in it . So Most likely I won't order that again. Overall service is good . The guy on the phone when I called did kind of rush me off the phone. But the good heavily outweighs the bad . I 'll definitely be ordering here many times from now.
I purchased egg roll, crab sticks ,and a crab stick meal got home and the crab sticks fell apart. They were not cooked. It was like they were paste or mince meat took it back and for what she gave us for the replacement, I would never eat from this place ever again😠
i ordered sweet and sour shrimp. By far nastiest I’ve ever had and the fried donuts have powdered sugar. That’s not how they are supposed to be.
