Welcome to the introduction of Flaming Wok Chinese Restaurant, located at 4237 Lien Rd H, Madison, WI 53704, USA. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category in Madison, Flaming Wok aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to the local community. They can be contacted at (608) 240-1085 or their mobile number, +1 608-240-1085, for inquiries about their menu or services.

When choosing a restaurant, understanding the dining environment, available services, and unique features is crucial. While the provided reviews do not offer specific details about the ambiance or décor of Flaming Wok Chinese Restaurant, it is typical for such establishments to offer a casual and functional setting for dining and order pickup. The focus is generally on the efficient preparation and delivery of Chinese cuisine. However, without explicit descriptions, the specific environment of Flaming Wok remains unknown.

In terms of services, Flaming Wok Chinese Restaurant likely offers the following:

  • Takeout: One review mentions ordering food for delivery, and another mentions picking up an order placed through Grubhub, indicating that takeout is a primary service.
  • Delivery: The mention of food delivery suggests that Flaming Wok offers this service, potentially through third-party platforms like Grubhub or their own delivery system. It would be advisable to inquire about their delivery范围 and any associated fees.

Dine-in service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. While it is possible that they offer dine-in, the emphasis on delivery and takeout in the feedback suggests that these might be their primary modes of service. Local users interested in dining at the restaurant should contact them directly to confirm the availability of dine-in options.

The features of Flaming Wok Chinese Restaurant, based on the customer reviews, present a mixed picture. One customer reported a severe allergic reaction after consuming their Lo Mein, stating that peanuts were included in the sauce without any indication on the menu or elsewhere. This lack of transparency regarding allergens is a significant concern. The customer's call to the restaurant about the issue resulted in being told that it has been their recipe for 27 years and that the customer should have avoided the sauce. This response highlights a potential lack of awareness or communication regarding food allergens, which can be dangerous for individuals with sensitivities.

On a more positive note, another reviewer highlighted a "great special with fried rice and egg roll." They mentioned a substitution from a pork egg roll to a vegetable egg roll, indicating some flexibility in their offerings. This reviewer also praised the "Szechuan shrimp and cashew chicken specials" as being of "great value for the $$$." The fact that their order, placed on a Sunday afternoon through Grubhub, was ready for pickup within 10-15 minutes suggests efficient service for takeout orders. This customer concluded by recommending Flaming Wok.

The contrasting experiences in these reviews indicate that while Flaming Wok might offer tasty food and good value through their specials, there is a serious concern regarding the lack of allergen information, particularly concerning peanuts in their Lo Mein sauce. This is a critical issue for customers with peanut allergies, as it can lead to severe health consequences if not properly communicated.

Promotional information mentioned includes "great specials" featuring fried rice and egg rolls, as well as the Szechuan shrimp and cashew chicken specials being of "great value." These suggest that Flaming Wok offers value-oriented meal deals that might be attractive to customers. To learn more about current specials, other promotions, or any seasonal offerings, local users should inquire directly with the restaurant or check their listings on food delivery platforms like Grubhub, which might showcase their deals.

In conclusion, Flaming Wok Chinese Restaurant in Madison, WI, offers takeout and delivery services, with one positive review highlighting the value and taste of their specials, including Szechuan shrimp and cashew chicken, as well as the efficiency of their pickup service through Grubhub. However, a significant concern has been raised regarding the undisclosed presence of peanuts in their Lo Mein sauce, leading to an allergic reaction in one customer and a dismissive response from the restaurant. This lack of allergen information is a serious issue that potential customers with allergies should be aware of. While Flaming Wok might offer enjoyable and affordable Chinese food options, individuals with allergies, especially to peanuts, should exercise extreme caution and directly inquire about all ingredients before placing an order. For those without allergies, the reported specials might offer good value. It is recommended to contact Flaming Wok directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any current promotions.

Had some food delivered. Tasted great, but apparently they put peanuts in the sauce for their Lo Mein and don't bother posting that anywhere. So now I'm in the middle of an allergic reaction. Called to ask about it and got told it's been their recipe for 27 years and I should've just avoided the sauce.

Great special with fried rice and egg roll. It included pork egg roll but we substituted with vegetable egg roll. The Szechuan shrimp and cashew chicken specials were great value for the $$$. We ordered on a Sunday afternoon through Grubhub and it was ready for pickup within 10-15 mins. Would recommend.

First time I ordered food from here it was AMAZING. I ordered from here a second time & the orange chicken didn’t taste right. My boyfriend said his tasted like fish while mine had a strong smell to it & tasted like bad meat.

Wow, the food here is nothing short of amazing! I treated myself to the shrimp and house fried rice, as well as the house lo mein, and let me tell you – the house egg foo young is truly mind-blowing! To make it even better, when you spend over $40, you’re in for a delightful surprise with exciting free items and a selection of spices that elevate every bite to a whole new level of deliciousness! You absolutely have to taste it! Plus, the customer service is outstanding!
