Flaming Flare 锦川里

One of the best restaurants I have ever tried. They have their own special spicy taste which you cannot fine anywhere else. The food has a lot of favors but does not have much oil like other common Chinese dishes. People works here are very friendly and professional. They spend their time with you and help you choose the best dishes on their menu list for your meal. The decorations and the color on the wall are matching with the color of the dishes on your table. It is a good combination which make you feel very good enjoyable time in here. Totally recommend 👍

Loveeeeee it. I didn’t expect the duck to be so authentic - it’s exactly the same flavor as how it’s made in my hometown Chengdu☺️ the whole meal is incredible and the service is amazing too. Highly recommend!

Had the pleasure of visiting Flaming Flare during their grand opening and tried their grilled fish special. While the wait was longer than expected, the freshness and full spicy flavors of the grill fish made it well worth it! The grilled fish dish came with a generous selection of vegetables, which perfectly complemented the fish. From the taste of the food, it’s clear that the chef brings an authentic Sichuan influence, and the flavors definitely reflect that. It’s a great addition to the Houston dining scene, and looking forward to returning to try more of their menu offerings. A fantastic experience overall, and excited to see how they continue to grow!

The waiter is super nice and food is amazing. Especially the corn, it was so good that I forgot to take a picture before I start😂 so I took a another of the leftover. There is a leftover not because it's not good it's we were so busy with talking the whole time. Tofu also tasted great not too spicy, at least I can handle.

The food is well done, but as others have noted the speed of food coming out varies. I got one dish quite quickly and the second a bit of a wait later. The service was otherwise good, no wait to be seated or order, and they were appropriately attentive. They were apologetic and proactive about the late dish, and since they’re just getting started,it’s quite understandable. I ordered their crispy shrimp (香辣虾） and chili oil dumplings (红油抄手）. The shrimp were very well made, nicely spicy with typical Szechuan seasoning. They did come with a lot of cilantro, so if you don’t like cilantro you will want to specify to hold the cilantro (the fried coating holds the aromatic flavor so the shrimp have some cilantro flavor even if you don’t eat the cilantro directly). The dumplings were good, the sauce was a touch bitter for me, but I am American and like the sauce a little on the sweet side (similar to how Mala does it). 🤣 The dumplings were folded so that the ends overlap, making it much easier to pick them up with chopsticks alone. The thickness of the wrapper was perfect and the filling well cooked.
