About 鱼你在一起 (法拉盛) Fish With You | Sauerkraut Fish

Located at 135-25a 40th Rd in Flushing, New York, 鱼你在一起 (法拉盛) Fish With You | Sauerkraut Fish operates within the Chinese Restaurant category, with a clear specialization indicated in its name: sauerkraut fish. This suggests that the restaurant focuses on a particular regional Chinese dish, likely popular and well-regarded, as highlighted by customer reviews. While the overall experience can be influenced by external factors, the food itself appears to be a significant draw for patrons seeking authentic and flavorful Chinese cuisine.

The signature dish of 鱼你在一起 (Fish With You) seems to be the sauerkraut fish soup. One reviewer specifically noted that the restaurant is a "nice little spot specializing in sauerkraut fish soup," and that this dish "appears to be very popular with locals." This indicates that the sauerkraut fish is a key offering and likely a must-try for those visiting the restaurant. The reviewer opted for a "mildly spicy option" and reported being satisfied, describing the dish as "very flavorful." This suggests that the sauerkraut fish soup is well-seasoned and caters to different spice preferences. Furthermore, the reviewer mentioned that a regular-sized soup is "more than enough for 2," highlighting the generous portion sizes offered at the restaurant.

Beyond their specialty, 鱼你在一起 (Fish With You) also offers other fish-based dishes. One reviewer recounted their experience with the "tomato fish," which included salad, black mushroom, soft tofu, and another green vegetable. They found the taste to be "normal, but good," suggesting a solid and satisfactory dish, though perhaps not as unique as the sauerkraut fish. The inclusion of various vegetables indicates a balanced meal option. Interestingly, this reviewer mentioned that rice was provided free of charge because they ordered the "big portion" of the fish, implying a potential promotion or policy related to the size of the main dish ordered. They also noted that the restaurant "claimed that they are serious about the choice of the rice," and the reviewer could taste this quality, suggesting an attention to detail even in seemingly simple accompaniments.

The service at 鱼你在一起 (Fish With You) was described as "fine" by one reviewer, indicating an adequate and acceptable level of customer service. However, this same reviewer unfortunately experienced a disruptive incident involving a non-customer who entered the premises and behaved inappropriately, causing distress to both the waitstaff and customers. While this event is clearly beyond the restaurant's control and not indicative of their standard service, it regrettably impacted the reviewer's dining experience. It's important to note that this was an isolated incident and should not necessarily reflect the typical service provided by the restaurant staff.

Based on the limited information, the environment of 鱼你在一起 (Fish With You) is described as a "nice little spot." This suggests a cozy and perhaps intimate setting, possibly a smaller restaurant catering primarily to those seeking the specialized sauerkraut fish and other flavorful dishes. The focus on the food and the casual description might imply a no-frills atmosphere where the emphasis is on the quality and taste of the cuisine rather than elaborate decor.

In terms of services, 鱼你在一起 (Fish With You) likely offers standard Chinese restaurant services such as dine-in and possibly takeout. The mention of ordering different sizes of fish dishes (regular and big) implies options for individual diners or groups. The provision of free rice with larger orders of fish suggests a customer-friendly approach. The service at the table was reported as "fine," indicating that the staff is attentive and provides the necessary assistance to diners.

The key features of 鱼你在一起 (Fish With You) are its specialization in the relatively unique sauerkraut fish soup, the availability of other flavorful fish dishes like the tomato fish, generous portion sizes (especially for the sauerkraut fish), and the apparent quality of their rice. The option for different spice levels in the sauerkraut fish caters to a wider range of palates. The "nice little spot" description suggests a comfortable and perhaps local-favorite type of establishment.

The mention of free rice with a "big portion" of fish could be considered a form of promotional offering, incentivizing customers to order larger sizes. However, this is the only specific promotional detail mentioned in the reviews. Local users interested in other potential promotions or special offers would need to contact the restaurant directly or check for any online presence they might have on social media or local dining platforms.

In conclusion, 鱼你在一起 (法拉盛) Fish With You | Sauerkraut Fish in Flushing, NY, offers a unique culinary experience centered around its popular and flavorful sauerkraut fish soup. With generous portions, other tasty fish options like the tomato fish, and a commitment to the quality of even basic accompaniments like rice, it appears to be a worthwhile destination for local users seeking authentic regional Chinese cuisine. The "nice little spot" ambiance suggests a comfortable setting to enjoy these specialized dishes. While an isolated external incident unfortunately affected one reviewer's experience, the focus on the quality and flavor of the food, particularly the sauerkraut fish, remains a strong positive aspect of this Chinese restaurant.

We had a tomato fish, with salad, black mushroom, soft tofu and another green. It tasted normal, but good. The rice was free because we ordered the big portion of the fish. They claimed that there are serious about the choice of the rice and I can taste that. The service was fine. However, a black guy( not customer) came all the way in to the washroom and yelled at the waitresses. I think both the waitstaff and customers were terrified. It was not anyone’s fault but our lunch was ruined.

Nice little spot specializing in sauerkraut fish soup, which appears to be very popular with locals. We went for a mildly spicy option and weren’t disappointed, everything was very flavorful, and regular sized soup is more than enough for 2.

The dishes are very flavorful and delicious but lacking in fish slices. The soup goes very well with the unlimited rice!!! The waitresses aren’t very attentive so you will have to flag them down and ask them for more rice.

Came by for lunch the other day to try it out, find your own seats (or sit at any open table). I tried the set meal, hot boiled snakehead with pickled cabbage & chili small order that comes with brown sugar rice cake and passion fruit tea ($28.25 without tip). The fish soup dish was enough for 2 to share, huge portion. Flavor was ok, not the best I’ve had and is a little bland for my taste. But other ppl liked it. Good option to try in the area if you’re looking for a spot to go. Clean and friendly staff, food comes pretty quick too.

Highly recommend!! Ordered the hot boiled fish, and boiled fish with green pepper. Both fish dish are so tasty. And goes really well with their steamed white rice. I choose bean curd and lettuce for side dish, both goes really well! Also had the Taiwan sausage (my fav), panko skewer, and wood ear for appetizers. For dessert ordered brown sugar rice cake. It is BOOM!!! The portion is huge but price was good. With 80 bucks get delicious food more than enough for 3.
