About First Wok

For local residents in Colorado Springs seeking a new go-to Chinese Restaurant that excels in both takeout and potentially dine-in experiences, First Wok, located at 3912 E San Miguel St, has garnered high praise from recent customers. You can contact them at (719) 573-9585 or +1 719-573-9585 to place your order or inquire further.

Based on recent glowing reviews, First Wok appears to be a hidden gem that has quickly won over new patrons. One reviewer, a resident of Colorado Springs for nearly three years, expressed surprise at only just discovering this restaurant, crediting a neighbor's referral. Their experience was so positive that they declared they would "never go anywhere else" for Chinese food, indicating a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.

This same reviewer highlighted the exceptional customer service received when placing a takeout order. They described the service as "top tier" from the initial phone call to the pickup of the food. This suggests that First Wok prioritizes a positive and efficient customer interaction at all stages of the ordering process, whether for takeout or potentially dine-in.

A key aspect of the positive feedback revolves around the freshness and quality of the food. The reviewer specifically mentioned that everything ordered was "fresh and made exactly to order." This indicates a commitment to preparing meals with fresh ingredients and adhering to specific customer requests, such as the "Xtra spicy" preparation of the Orange Chicken. This attention to detail and quality is crucial for a satisfying dining experience.

The dishes ordered by this satisfied customer included the Combo Lo Mein, Orange Chicken (extra spicy), and Beef & Broccoli. All three were positively received, further suggesting a broad competence across different menu items. Additionally, the reviewer noted the generous portion sizes, stating that the order was "easily shareable," which offers good value for money and makes First Wok a potential option for family meals or those wanting leftovers.

A notable feature mentioned in the review is the inclusion of wonton soup with dinner combos, a common and appreciated offering at many Chinese restaurants. However, First Wok stands out by providing "fantastic" cup sizes for the soup, implying a more generous serving than typically found elsewhere. This thoughtful inclusion adds value to the combo meals.

Another recent customer, new to the area and actively searching for their "new favorite Chinese place," reported finding it on their very first try with First Wok. This immediate positive impression speaks volumes about the restaurant's appeal to newcomers as well as established residents. This reviewer also praised the staff as "friendly and fast," indicating a welcoming and efficient service environment for those dining in or picking up orders.

The speed of service was also highlighted, with the food reportedly coming out "quickly." This efficiency is particularly valuable for those looking for a convenient and timely meal, whether dining in during a lunch break or picking up takeout after a long day.

The food itself continued to receive high marks from this second reviewer. They specifically mentioned the Beef & Broccoli and confidently stated that it was superior to any Beef & Broccoli they had experienced in the Denver area, a region with a significant culinary scene. This strong comparison underscores the exceptional quality of this particular dish at First Wok.

A unique and noteworthy offering mentioned by this reviewer is the availability of "meat wontons." While wonton soup is common, the explicit mention of meat wontons as a standalone item suggests a potentially popular or well-regarded appetizer or side dish at First Wok. This could be a distinctive feature that attracts customers looking for specific types of wontons.

While the reviews focus primarily on the quality of the food and service, they also implicitly suggest a welcoming and efficient environment, whether for takeout or dine-in. The friendly staff and prompt service contribute to a positive atmosphere. However, detailed descriptions of the restaurant's interior decor or ambiance are not provided in these reviews.

No specific promotional information was mentioned by the reviewers. As a highly-rated establishment based on recent feedback, First Wok may rely on its reputation for quality food and service to attract and retain customers. Local users interested in any potential specials or promotions are advised to contact the restaurant directly at (719) 573-9585 or +1 719-573-9585.

In conclusion, First Wok appears to be a standout Chinese Restaurant in Colorado Springs, praised for its top-tier customer service, fresh and delicious food made exactly to order, generous portions, and efficient preparation times. Standout dishes like the Orange Chicken (especially extra spicy) and Beef & Broccoli have received high accolades. The inclusion of wonton soup with dinner combos and the availability of meat wontons are additional appealing features. The overwhelmingly positive recent feedback suggests that First Wok is a reliable and satisfying choice for both takeout and potentially dine-in customers looking for quality Chinese-American cuisine in the area. For those seeking a new favorite Chinese spot, First Wok comes highly recommended based on these enthusiastic customer experiences.

I’ve been in the Springs for almost 3 years and can’t believe I’m just finding this gem. A neighbor referred me and we’re never going anywhere else. Called to order takeout. The customer services was top tier from the phone to pickup. Everything was fresh and made exactly to order. We ordered Combo Lo Mein, Orange Chicken (Xtra spicy) and Beef & Broccoli. The portions are generous and this was easily shareable. I also appreciate they offer wonton soup with the dinner combos and the cup sizes are fantastic. Highly recommend. 10/10

Just moved to the area and was looking for my new favorite Chinese place. Found it on the first try! This place is amazing. The staff was friendly and fast. The food came out quickly. The food was delicious. I got the beef and broccoli and can confidently say it's better than any beef and broccoli I got in the Denver area. They also have meat wontons!!!

Hole in the wall, local, family owned spot. Great customer service, huge portions, reasonable prices and good food. Add $3 to make any entree a combo with soup and crab cheese wonton. Love that the combo sweet and sour had sauce already in the side. The Mongolian beef was a little on the sweet side for me but my Mom loved it. Also had general tso and sesame chicken at the table that were fantastic. That combo chow fun though! 🔥 Seriously one of the best I've had in Colorado. Super reasonable prices and very friendly service. Ohh and grab some Chinese donuts for dessert

I have now come here 2 or 3 times and so far I am pretty content! Some dishes outshine others, but the service outshined everything. The man that has been at the counter every time has been incredibly nice and service oriented. You can clearly tell he has been doing this a while. The lunch specials are definitely where it’s at! Cheap and delicious! The Szechuan beef has been my favorite. DELISH! Mongolian beef was good, but it had more onions than it did beef. Finally, the orange chicken was quite lackluster, a bit bland and not like your typical crunchy flavorful orange chicken. The fried rice I would avoid as it is basically just white rice with soy sauce and has no real flavor. But the white rice is typically fresh and delicious. All in all, being that this place is so close to my house. I will frequent them for the lunch special and great service!

I ordered the S2 . Kung Pao Shrimp with Fried Rice and it was AMAZING! My only complaint was the fried rice was not as tasty as the rest of my food. It was good fried rice, but it was just a side dish so it was a bit bland but it still went great with my food since I just stir it in. The Kung Pao Shrimp was 10/10! Lots of flavor and just the right amount of spicy! My partner also ordered the L7 Combination Lo Mein and A3 Chinese Donuts and he really enjoyed both. We spent a total of $35, the order was take out and we spent at most 10-15 minutes inside. The service was great and really friendly staff! I look forward to returning and trying more items on the menu as I’m sure they’re all great!
