About Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge

Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge, located at 3353 Washington Way in Longview, Washington, presents an interesting case for local users seeking a "Chinese Restaurant." While the name might suggest a primary focus on Chinese cuisine, recent customer reviews indicate a broader menu that extends beyond traditional Chinese fare, encompassing American dishes and a lounge atmosphere. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge based on the available customer feedback, highlighting its environment, services, features, and any mentioned specifics about its offerings.

One first-time visitor from Seattle, in town to see family, was recommended Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge by their sister-in-law. This suggests that the establishment is known and recommended by locals. Interestingly, this reviewer ordered a cheeseburger with garlic fries and described it as "super delicious and very fresh tasting." This immediately indicates that Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge serves American cuisine in addition to, or perhaps instead of, Chinese food, at least based on this particular customer's experience. The reviewer also praised the atmosphere as "very pleasant and cozy" and lauded the "outstanding customer service," giving the establishment a high recommendation and expressing strong positive feelings ("Love love love it 😍!!!"). This paints a picture of a welcoming environment and attentive service, which are crucial aspects of any dining experience.

Another review provides further insight into the offerings at Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge. This customer noted that the "drinks are on the stronger side and well priced," suggesting the presence of a lounge or bar area within the establishment. They also mentioned ordering wings and garlic parmesan fries for the table, with the observation that the "servings were large." This reinforces the idea that American-style food, such as burgers, fries, and wings, is a significant part of the menu and that the portions are generous, potentially offering good value.

Crucially, this second reviewer explicitly stated, "There is no Chinese food on Monday." This is a vital piece of information for local users specifically searching for a Chinese restaurant, as it indicates that on at least one day of the week, the primary cuisine expected from the name might not be available. This could imply that Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge operates with a varied menu throughout the week or that its focus has shifted to include a broader range of options beyond Chinese cuisine.

The same reviewer also mentioned a "corned beef special for St. Patty's day" which they tried and found to be "very good." This further supports the idea that Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge offers daily specials and caters to seasonal events with non-Chinese dishes. The fact that a customer ordered and enjoyed a traditional Irish-American dish highlights the diversity of their menu.

Based on these reviews, the environment of Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge is described as "pleasant and cozy," suggesting a comfortable and inviting space for diners and those looking to enjoy drinks. The presence of a lounge area with "well priced" and "stronger" drinks indicates that it serves as a local spot for both food and beverages, potentially with a relaxed and social atmosphere.

The services offered appear to include dine-in options, as both reviewers visited the location. The mention of ordering food for the table (wings and fries) suggests that it is suitable for group dining. The positive comments about customer service indicate that the staff is attentive and helpful. While not explicitly mentioned, it is reasonable to assume that standard restaurant services like ordering at the table and payment processing are available. There is no information provided about takeout or delivery services, so local users interested in these options would need to contact the restaurant directly.

In terms of features, the diverse menu that goes beyond Chinese food is a significant aspect of Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge. The availability of American classics like cheeseburgers, fries (garlic and garlic parmesan), and wings, along with daily specials (like the corned beef for St. Patrick's Day), suggests a broader appeal to different tastes. The presence of a lounge with well-regarded drinks is another feature that distinguishes it from a typical Chinese restaurant. The large portion sizes, particularly of the wings and fries, could be considered a feature that offers good value to customers.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in knowing about any specials, happy hour deals, or other promotions would need to check the restaurant’s website (if available), social media, or contact them directly via phone.

In conclusion, Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge in Longview, WA, is an establishment that, despite its name, offers a diverse menu that includes American cuisine such as burgers, fries, and wings, in addition to any Chinese dishes it might serve (with the caveat of no Chinese food on Mondays). It features a "pleasant and cozy" atmosphere with a lounge that serves well-priced and stronger drinks. The customer service is reported as outstanding, and the portion sizes, at least for some American items, are generous. While the name might lead one to expect a traditional Chinese restaurant, the evidence from recent reviews suggests a broader offering. Local users specifically looking for Chinese food should be aware of the Monday limitation and might want to inquire about the availability of Chinese dishes on other days. For those open to American fare in a welcoming environment with a lounge, Fei’s Carriage Restaurant & Lounge appears to be a recommended local spot.

The drinks are on the stronger side and well priced. We got wings and garlic parm fries for the table, and the servings were large. There is no Chinese food on Monday. They did have a corned beef special for St. Patty's day, so I had to try it. It was very good!

Karaoke was great but the owner does not allow vulgar songs which is baffling. Beyond that point the food is amazing but the atmosphere feels like you are meant to get 1 drink and leave.

Ew. Seriously ew. Our normal Chinese food place was closed, so we tried this place. I phoned in our order at 5:15pm and was told it’d be ready to pick up in 30 mins. I went in to pick it up at a the 30 min mark and was told 10 more minutes, that they were training a new cook. We get it home and yuck. The Schezuan Beef was basically coagulated soup/stew. The General Tso’s chicken was small pieces of chicken and rice with a container of the sauce, which oddly tasted like a gravy. The Beef Lo Mein was mediocre at best. The fried shrimp was just some frozen boxed shrimp from US Foods or Costco and the best thing we ordered. $88 dinner that no one ate. My 11 year old said “Even the Fortune Cookies suck.” I’m giving 1 star because I didn’t go for the atmosphere or service. The food sucked.

We heard about this long time restaurant from friends... We decided to check out their Chinese offerings. The two dishes that we had, Singapore noodles, and sesame beef were very tasty and they had lots of other things to choose from! We will definitely be back to check more things out!
