About Fat Choy

Fat Choy is a vibrant and innovative Chinese-style fast food restaurant located at 52 E Palisade Ave, Englewood, NJ 07631. Known for its creative approach to traditional Chinese cuisine, Fat Choy offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience that combines the flavors of China with modern fast food concepts. The restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its friendly service, customizable menu options, and welcoming atmosphere.

At Fat Choy, the focus is on providing fresh, flavorful, and visually appealing dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. The menu features a build-your-own bowl concept, allowing customers to customize their meals with a variety of ingredients. Whether you're a fan of spicy flavors or prefer something milder, Fat Choy has something for everyone. Popular items on the menu include vegetable fried rice, chili cauliflower, BBQ carrots, vegetable medley, ginger shrimp, and wonton soup, all of which can be combined to create a unique and satisfying meal.

One of the standout features of Fat Choy is its commitment to using high-quality ingredients and preparing dishes with care. The restaurant's focus on freshness and flavor ensures that every bite is delicious and memorable. While some customers have noted that the food can be greasy, this adds to the authentic fast food experience, as many traditional Chinese dishes are known for their rich flavors and textures.

Fat Choy also offers a variety of promotional deals and combo options, making it an affordable choice for lunch or dinner. The restaurant's pricing reflects its high-quality ingredients and attention to detail, though some customers have found the prices to be on the higher side. The restaurant's interior is cozy and inviting, with a focus on creating a warm and friendly environment for all guests. Whether you're dining in or taking your meal to go, Fat Choy ensures that your experience is enjoyable and stress-free.

Customer feedback has been largely positive, with many diners praising the creativity of the menu and the flavor of the dishes. One customer noted, "I was excited to try this new fast food restaurant. When I arrived, I parked on the street nearby and walked into a really cute spot. I was greeted and ordered the build your own bowl: Vegetable fried rice, Chili cauliflower, BBQ carrots, Vegetable medley, Ginger shrimp, Chili crisp oil, Wonton soup. The bowl was actually tasty and I liked the shrimp. The wonton soup was good as well. All in all, it was a good experience!"

Another customer shared their experience, saying, "It is a build your own bowl 'Chinese style'. But I have been to China, and not much on the menu resembles real Chinese food, or even American-style Chinese food. You build a bowl w a rice base, 3 veg and a protein. I choose jasmine rice, pole beans, mushrooms and eggplant. With hot chili pepper garnish and scallions. I ate the whole bowl so it was tasty but VERY greasy. They should definitely think about some healthier options instead of frying most everything." While this feedback highlights areas for improvement, it also speaks to the restaurant's potential and the desire for even healthier menu options.

Despite these comments, Fat Choy remains a popular choice for those seeking a unique and flavorful dining experience in Englewood. Its combination of fresh ingredients, creative menu options, and welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot for food enthusiasts.

The price for a bowl and a sofa was 25 dollars which I think it totally outrageous.

Food was greasy, too much salt/msg, nice atmosphere and service. Not really worth 20 dollars per bowl

Overall food needs nuch more depth and more flavor .Did not find it authentic. Few dishes they ran out of ingredients which is very surprising . Should label all the sauces on the table. Decor is basic needs to be brighter amd music volume toned down a little.
