About Far East Kitchen

Far East Kitchen is a Chinese Restaurant located at 7 W Hudson Ave in Englewood, New Jersey. Serving the local community with Chinese cuisine, Far East Kitchen can be contacted at (201) 541-1480 or via their mobile number, +1 201-541-1480. As a local option for those seeking Chinese food in Englewood, potential customers may be interested in understanding the environment, services, and features based on available customer feedback.

Information regarding the specific environment or ambiance of Far East Kitchen is limited in the provided reviews. One review mentions seeing a table inside the establishment, which suggests that there might be a physical space beyond just a counter for order pickup. However, this observation is contradicted by the restaurant staff's statement that the premises are "only takeout" and that the table is "only for employees." This discrepancy creates ambiguity about whether dine-in service is genuinely unavailable or if there are specific policies in place regarding seating for customers. The lack of clear signage indicating a "takeout only" policy, as pointed out by a disgruntled customer, could lead to confusion for those intending to eat their meal on-site. Therefore, local users should be aware that current information suggests that Far East Kitchen primarily operates as a takeout establishment, despite the presence of at least one table with chairs inside.

The primary service explicitly mentioned in the customer reviews for Far East Kitchen is takeout. One positive review focuses on the food quality, implying a satisfactory experience with the takeout service. However, a contrasting negative review details an experience where the customer intended to dine in after placing a substantial order but was informed that it was "only takeout." This suggests a strict adherence to a takeout-only model, which might not be clearly communicated to customers upon entering. It is important for local users to be aware of this potential limitation if they were considering eating their meal at the restaurant. The discrepancy between the presence of a table and the stated policy could lead to frustration for customers who expect or prefer to dine in. To avoid any inconvenience, it would be advisable for customers to confirm the availability of dine-in service when placing their order or upon arrival.

In terms of features, the limited reviews offer contrasting perspectives. One customer enthusiastically praises the owner, describing her as "the best" and always smiling, even referring to her as "Mommy." This highly positive personal interaction suggests that the owner's demeanor and customer service can be a significant feature for some patrons, contributing to a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, at least in some interactions. This reviewer also notes that the food is "incredible," indicating a positive perception of the culinary offerings at Far East Kitchen.

However, the second review presents a starkly different perspective on customer service. This customer describes the establishment as the "rudest Chinese spot" they have ever visited. The primary issue raised was the unexpected "takeout only" policy despite the presence of a table, coupled with what was perceived as an unfriendly attitude from the staff member. The reviewer specifically mentions a female employee with a "b face" and an attitude that was off-putting. This negative feedback highlights a significant concern regarding the customer service experience for at least one group of patrons. The customer's frustration was compounded by the lack of clear signage about the takeout-only policy and the explanation that the available table was solely for employees, which was deemed "F ridiculous." This experience led the customer to vow never to return and to take their business elsewhere, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and accommodating service for paying customers.

Promotional information is not available in the provided reviews. It is typical for Chinese restaurants to offer various promotions, such as lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts on certain days or for specific order amounts. To find out if Far East Kitchen has any current promotions, local users would need to contact them directly via phone. Given the mixed feedback regarding service policies, it might be prudent to inquire about any specific terms or conditions related to orders, especially if planning a large order or intending to dine in.

In conclusion, Far East Kitchen in Englewood, NJ, is a Chinese Restaurant primarily offering takeout service, although this policy might not be immediately apparent to customers due to the presence of tables inside. Customer experiences appear to be varied. One reviewer has a highly positive impression of the owner and the food, while another reports a very negative experience due to the unexpected takeout-only rule and perceived rudeness from a staff member. This discrepancy suggests that customer interactions and service policies might be inconsistent or not clearly communicated. Local users considering Far East Kitchen should be aware of the potential for a takeout-only experience and the contrasting reports on customer service. While one customer found the food "incredible," the other's negative encounter focused more on the service aspect. To get the most accurate information about their services, policies, and any current promotions, contacting Far East Kitchen directly is recommended.

Rudest Chinese spot I’ve ever been to! Never again am I coming here with my family. We ordered almost $40 worth of food. We saw a table inside so we decided to eat and they said it’s only takeout. That’s absurd!!! They don’t even have signs saying it’s only takeout!!! I asked them why is there a table with four chairs if customers can’t come in and sit to eat, their answer was that it’s only for employees!!!! That’s F ridiculous! The woman that works there has the only b face I can practically read her thoughts, I don’t understand her attitude!! Don’t come here if you plan to eat inside. I’m taking my money elsewhere where staff is nicer and allows you to dine inside BECAUSE I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER!!!!!

Best American Chinese food! Orange chicken is crispy and actually tastes orangey, not the average sweet, soggy mush. Takeout orders are prepared very fast.

All I ordered was a small French fries, they told me over the phone 5 min. I got there well over them 5 min had to wait… fine. When I got home and gonna enjoy my fries I see half are rotten or just full of oil u can tell by the color. Some of the fries have some kind of sauce that I never added. So what they did is they re-fried some canceled ordered and served it to me. How disgusting is that, what horrible restaurant ethic is that??? Never buying here again I suggest u do the same. Tea Garden in tenafly is 5min from this disgusting restaurant and well worth it.
