About Fantastic Wok II

Welcome to Fantastic Wok II, a Chinese restaurant located at 3187 Western Row Rd #118 in Maineville, OH 45039, USA. As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Fantastic Wok II aims to provide a variety of Chinese culinary options for the Maineville community. You can contact them at (513) 229-8318 or their mobile number +1 513-229-8318 for inquiries or to place an order.

Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at Fantastic Wok II appear to be somewhat mixed, particularly regarding consistency in order preparation. One reviewer, who transitioned from picking up orders in person to using DoorDash for delivery due to a change in work location, reported issues with a recent order. This customer specified special instructions for their dish, requesting only meat with extra cashew nuts and mushrooms. However, the order received was described as being predominantly "80% celery and rice," with the expected extra nuts not included, despite being charged for them. Additionally, the size of a bottled Mountain Dew received was smaller than anticipated (16.9 oz instead of the expected 20 oz), leading to the question of value for money. This reviewer concluded that while the food can be good when prepared correctly, the inconsistency is a significant drawback, often leading them to cook at home or choose other dining options.

In contrast, another reviewer had a more positive experience, describing Fantastic Wok II as "fast and easy" and "cheap." They mentioned ordering two dishes and egg rolls for $24, which they found to be a substantial amount of food, enough to feed two people for 3-4 meals. This suggests that Fantastic Wok II offers generous portion sizes for the price. This reviewer also explicitly stated that "The food is good" and "The time is quick," recommending the restaurant and dismissing negative reviews they had read as "absolute garbage," particularly one concerning the absence of peas in a dish (which they correctly pointed out are not traditionally part of Chinese cuisine). They characterized the food as "good American Chinese," implying a familiar and satisfying take on the cuisine.

Considering these two reviews, it seems that Fantastic Wok II has the potential to provide tasty food and quick service at a reasonable price, with generous portions. However, there is a noted concern about the consistency of order preparation, especially when special instructions are involved. This inconsistency could be a significant factor for customers with specific dietary preferences or those ordering through delivery services where order accuracy is crucial.

Information regarding the environment of Fantastic Wok II is limited to the description of it being a physical restaurant location. The reviews do not provide details about the ambiance, decor, or whether dine-in service is a significant part of their operation. The mention of DoorDash suggests a strong focus on takeout and delivery services.

In terms of services, Fantastic Wok II clearly offers takeout, as indicated by both reviewers picking up orders or using DoorDash. The quick preparation time mentioned by one reviewer suggests efficient service for takeout orders. The availability of delivery through DoorDash expands their service area and provides convenience for customers who prefer not to travel to the restaurant. It is not explicitly stated whether they offer their own delivery service or if dine-in is currently a significant option. To clarify their full range of services, contacting the restaurant directly would be beneficial.

As a Chinese restaurant, Fantastic Wok II likely offers a standard menu of popular Chinese-American dishes. This would typically include a variety of appetizers such as egg rolls and spring rolls; soups like wonton soup and egg drop soup; a range of fried rice and noodle dishes, including lo mein and chow mein with various protein choices; and numerous main courses featuring chicken, beef, pork, and seafood prepared in familiar sauces and styles, such as sweet and sour, Kung Pao, and Szechuan. Given the mention of cashew nuts, it's likely they offer dishes featuring this ingredient, such as cashew chicken. The availability of a bottled Mountain Dew suggests a selection of standard soft drinks.

The feature of "cheap" prices, as highlighted by one reviewer, suggests that Fantastic Wok II aims to be an affordable option for Chinese food in the Maineville area. The generous portion sizes further enhance the perceived value. The quick preparation time is also a notable feature, particularly for those looking for a convenient and fast meal.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. It is common for Chinese takeout and delivery restaurants to offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for certain order amounts. To learn about any current promotions or special offers at Fantastic Wok II, customers are advised to check online ordering platforms (if applicable), their website (if they have one), or to inquire when placing a phone order.

In conclusion, Fantastic Wok II in Maineville, OH, offers Chinese cuisine with a focus on takeout and delivery services. While one customer experienced issues with order accuracy and value, another praised the restaurant for its fast service, generous portions, and good-tasting "American Chinese" food at a cheap price. Potential local users should be aware of the reported inconsistency in order preparation, especially when special instructions are given. However, for those seeking a quick and affordable Chinese meal with substantial portions, Fantastic Wok II may be a viable option. To get the most accurate information on their menu, services (including dine-in availability), and any current promotions, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended.

Inconsistent...I used to pick up my order on the way home from work when I commuted. Now I work remotely, so I get door dash. I put in the special instructions I only wanted meat, extra cashew nuts and mushrooms but my order was 80% celery and rice, plus they uncharged me for extra nuts. Also ordered a bottle of mountain dew, which I expected a 20oz but what I received was 16.9 oz. What am I paying for? When they get it right, it's good but it's so inconsistent I usually make my own at home or go elsewhere

Fast and easy. Cheap if you will. Two dishes and some egg rolls for 24$. It’s enough food to feed two people for 3-4 meals. I read some reviews. (Absolute garbage.) “they don’t put peas in their whatever dish.” Peas are from the Middle East moron. The food is good. The time is quick. People should be shamed for their terrible opinions. It’s good American Chinese.

Let’s be honest, you’re not here to get healthy, top-tier food. I get it, some weeknights you just wanna munch down some fried rice and breaded chicken drenched in sugar sauce. That’s where we were at too about 2 hours ago. On DoorDash, I got the general tso’s and low mein, my wife got sweet and sour chicken and rice. Let me tell you, I’ve had Chinese takeout from a million places and this food they made for my pregnant wife and I was probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had (and the bar is already pretty low). My chicken tasted like plastic, the noodles were flavorless, her sauce was bland and the low mein was gross. How you screw up the absolute staples of Chinese takeout is beyond me, even the rice was dry. Since they refused the refund request, they’ve chosen to be publicly dragged. I’ve never dogged on a restaurant like this, but it really is the bottom of the barrel. You can do better for your take out tonight if you’ve made it this far and I hope you do. Pick something else.

We did take away for a family Birthday Party ( very large family) they don’t open till 12 o’clock on Sunday, but we went by and asked if there was any chance we could pick it up at 12 o’clock. The owner said yes, no problem he would come in early and food would be ready. As promised the food was . It was hot & had great flavor. We had so many different. Items off the menu and everything was perfect. I must say that the wonton soup is the best I’ve ever had!!! my whole family was going on and on about how wonderful the food was we will definitely be back.
