Fang's kitchen operates as a Chinese restaurant, which typically includes establishments that specialize in preparing and serving food originating from China. These restaurants often offer a diverse menu that can include various regional styles and popular American Chinese adaptations, catering to the preferences of their local customer base.
To provide a comprehensive introduction to Fang's kitchen, it's important to consider the recent feedback shared by its customers through online reviews. These reviews offer valuable insights into the dining experience, including the quality and authenticity of the food, pricing, and specific menu items that have been tried.
One customer, who stated they are originally from New York City and have extensive experience with Chinese food, reported a negative experience at Fang's kitchen. They found the food to be "not good at all," particularly the Egg Foo Young and what they received as "fried rice," which was described as white rice with peas and carrots, not the traditional fried rice they are accustomed to. This customer also noted that the food lacked seasoning, including the Egg Foo Young, despite its appealing appearance. They included a picture to illustrate their point, suggesting a significant difference in their expectations of Chinese cuisine compared to what was served.
In contrast, another customer reported a positive experience after ordering from Fang's kitchen for their family. They were satisfied with the large portion sizes and found the prices to be fairly reasonable. This customer specifically recommended several new dishes they had tried: Honey Shrimp, Bang Bang Shrimp (listed twice with different numbers, suggesting potential variations or a typo), and Mongolian Chicken. Their personal favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp, which they described as very tasty and creamy, and they would definitely recommend it.
These two reviews present contrasting opinions on Fang's kitchen. One highlights a disappointment with the authenticity and seasoning of traditional dishes like Egg Foo Young and fried rice, while the other praises the portion sizes, pricing, and the flavor of newer or specialty items like the Bang Bang Shrimp. This suggests that the quality and appeal of different dishes on the menu might vary, or that customer expectations based on regional variations of Chinese cuisine can differ significantly.
Based on the limited information in these reviews, specific details about the environment of Fang's kitchen are not provided. As a local Chinese restaurant, it likely offers a casual setting for dine-in customers, although the emphasis might be on takeout and delivery services, which are common for this type of establishment. The term "kitchen" in the name might suggest a focus on the food preparation itself rather than elaborate ambiance. Without more information, a detailed description of the environment cannot be given.
The services offered by Fang's kitchen likely include both dine-in and takeout options, as is typical for a Chinese restaurant. The provision of a phone number suggests that customers can place orders for pickup. While not explicitly mentioned, delivery services might also be available, either directly through the restaurant or via third-party delivery platforms. Local users would need to inquire directly with Fang's kitchen to confirm their full range of services and whether online ordering is available.
Features of Fang's kitchen include a menu with a variety of Chinese dishes, including both classic items like Egg Foo Young and potentially more contemporary or fusion-style dishes such as Honey Shrimp and Bang Bang Shrimp. The positive review highlights generous portion sizes and fair pricing as notable features. The mention of "new dishes" suggests that Fang's kitchen is innovating and expanding its menu, which could be appealing to customers looking for variety. The contrasting opinions on the authenticity and seasoning of traditional dishes indicate that the restaurant's approach to Chinese cuisine might differ from what some customers expect based on their prior experiences.
Promotional information is not included in the provided reviews, beyond the mention of "new dishes" which could be considered a form of promotion. Local Chinese restaurants often utilize various methods to attract and retain customers, such as lunch specials, family meal deals, or discounts on certain days or for specific order amounts. To learn about any current promotions at Fang's kitchen, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly or check for any local advertisements or online presence they might have.
For local users in Cary, NC, considering Fang's kitchen, the available reviews offer a mixed perspective. The positive feedback on portion sizes, pricing, and the taste of newer dishes like the Bang Bang Shrimp is encouraging. However, the negative feedback regarding the authenticity and seasoning of traditional dishes like Egg Foo Young and fried rice should also be taken into account, especially for those who have specific expectations based on their prior experiences with Chinese cuisine.
Potential customers might want to consider what types of dishes they are most interested in trying. If you are looking for generous portions and are open to trying newer or more Americanized Chinese dishes, Fang's kitchen might be a good option. However, if you prioritize the authentic preparation and traditional flavors of classic Chinese dishes, you might want to inquire further about their menu and cooking styles.
To make a more informed decision, local residents might find it helpful to look for additional reviews on other online platforms to see if a broader consensus exists regarding the food quality and service at Fang's kitchen. Calling the restaurant directly to inquire about their menu, preparation methods, and any daily specials could also provide valuable information.
In conclusion, Fang's kitchen in Cary, NC, is a local Chinese restaurant that has received both positive feedback regarding portion sizes, pricing, and the taste of some of its newer dishes, as well as negative feedback concerning the authenticity and seasoning of more traditional items. Local users should consider these varied experiences and potentially seek additional information to determine if Fang's kitchen aligns with their preferences for Chinese cuisine in the area.

Customer Reviews
I’m sorry but this was not good at all. I’m from NYC and I know what good Chinese food is. Sorry I have eaten Chinese food all my life. I had Egg Foo Young and I thought fried rice. It was white rice with peas and carrots, not the original fried rice I’m use to. The food had no season to it. The egg foo young looked good but not seasoned at all. Picture of fried rice and egg foo young
Ordered Fang’s for my family. We were not disappointed as the portions were big and prices were fairly priced! Would recommend their new dishes: Honey Shrimp (1), Bang Bang Shrimp (2), Mongolian Chicken (3), and Bang Bang Shrimp (4). My favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp as it was very tasty and creamy. Would definitely recommend!
Overall Rating: 3.9/10 The takeout experience was subpar, with the food not meeting expectations. No dish stood out positively. Atmosphere / Service: 3.9/10 The online ordering process was cumbersome compared to other restaurants. The lack of Apple Pay and the requirement to create a profile added unnecessary steps. Food: Pineapple Fried Rice: 3.8/10 While not awful in taste, the dish was a disappointment due to missing ingredients that are typically expected in Thai pineapple fried rice. Pork Fried Rice: 3.9/10 The presentation of the pork fried rice was off-putting, and the flavor was mediocre. It fell short of the standard for this dish. Beef Lo Mein: 2.3/10 The beef lo mein looked in inviting, the and completely failed to deliver in taste. General Gau Chicken: 5.1/10 The dish featured white meat chicken in a satisfactory tangy sauce but was otherwise very basic.
Everything I have tried has been so delicious! The customer service is great and they will recommend food if you want to try something new. Thank you for having amazing veggie options!
This is an amazing Chinese restaurant!! The food is well cooked, and not anything like Panda Express. The food is reasonably priced, and the portions are large enough for two meals. The lo mein is amazing, and their chicken is amazing. Could not recommend them enough.
