About Fai Wong
Fai Wong is a Chinese Restaurant located at 6200 Coors Blvd NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico, offering both dine-in and takeout services to the local community. Based on recent customer experiences, the restaurant appears to have inconsistencies in its food quality and service.
One customer initially reported an amazing dine-in experience, particularly highlighting the wonton soup for its taste and presentation, as well as generous entree portions and excellent service. However, subsequent visits revealed significant variations. A takeout order was described as having small portions and poor packaging, while a later dine-in experience was disappointing, with a poorly prepared wonton soup and Mongolian beef that was mostly onions. The service during this last visit was also noted as awful.
Another review described Fai Wong as a small restaurant with a focus on carry-out orders. This customer experienced a wait for seating and found their table to be dirty. While the server/cashier did clean the table, the overall cleanliness of the walls and other tables was questionable. The sesame chicken was considered overcooked and chewy, the egg rolls oily, and the sauce unremarkable. The broccoli beef was rated as better in comparison. The reviewer also noted the unusual serving of rice on a plate instead of a covered bowl and a dirty tea container. This customer's assessment of the food quality differed significantly from other higher-rated reviews.
Overall, the recent feedback suggests a lack of consistency in both the food preparation and the service at Fai Wong. While some customers have had positive experiences, particularly during weekday dine-in visits potentially served by a specific individual, others have encountered issues with food quality, portion sizes, cleanliness, and service. Potential customers may want to consider these mixed reviews when making a decision to dine at or order from Fai Wong.

Customer Reviews
First trip dine in was amazing wonton soup taste and presentation was amazing.3 fresh wontons, not mushy, topped with Fine julienne strips of roast pork green onion and veggies. Great broth. Great Entrees hug portion excellent service by a women who maybe the owner. Second visit, Togo was awful. Small portions horrible Togo box. Third and final visit last weekend done in was the worst. I was craving that excellent wonto soup. It was horrid. Lazy prepared soup was chunks 2 chewy chunks of roast pork. soggy wontons. Pink broth from the red dye on the roast pork. Service was awful by 2 young adults. The Mongolian beef was 95 percent onions. I’ll only go again during the week when the women who was great the first trip. Fae Wong don’t screw up your hidden gem of a restaurant. Also you should respond to All reviews good or bad I hope you see improvement. Quality consistency and pride are simple keys to success
Small restaurant with a number of tables. Plenty of carry out orders served. We waited for a few minutes to be sat. When we did sit down the table was very dirty but the server/cashier was kind enough to clean it. Walls and other tables looked a bit dirty (maybe we just missed the rush). Still, unpleasant to sit at a dirty table. We ordered sesame chicken which was not bad but not definitely not good. It tasted a bit over cooked and chewy. Egg rolls were very oily and sauce was nothing special. We also ordered Broccoli beef and it was better (in comparison to the sesame chicken). Rice was brought on a plate? Every Chinese restaurant I've gone to will normally serve the rice in a covered bowl so that it keeps hot. A little disappointing but it was cooked well. We ordered hot jasmine tea and ice water. The container for the tea was very dirty... I felt that 2 - 2.5 stars for the food is accurate. It was not reflective of other 4 star reviews in my opinion.
I ordered orange chicken and fried rice. Wasn't impressed with the chicken at all, it was just plain crispy chicken with some sauce poured on top like the frozen kinds you can get at the store. And DO NOT pay the 2.50 extra for fried rice. My friend got plain white rice, and mine looked exactly the same but darker and didn't taste very different. You would think it should have eggs, or at least peas and carrots in it. And on top of that it was cold when it got to the table. I was disappointed for the price of both of these items. Also the waiters weren't very nice, there was no music, and overall just wasn't a great experience.
I’ve become a new big fan of this place! The general Tso’s and Lo mein chicken are my fav and very good! My boyfriend got the magnolian beef and wasn’t a fan, but is willing to try again. I will say, they could invest in a small speaker or something for the atmosphere, it’s so awkwardly quiet inside! I highly recommend non the less:)
Food was goodish. Chicken potstickers were good. Eggroll was way to greasy and old oil. Squid salted and peppered was really good. Chicken chow mein was mediocre. Service was fast and friendly. This place gets alot of take out orders. If I was local would love to try more on the menu.
