To provide a comprehensive and objective introduction, it's important to consider feedback from actual customers. Several recent reviews offer insights into the dining experience at Ewa Pointe Chinese Restaurant. These reviews describe experiences with takeout orders and lunch plates, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of the food quality and taste.

One customer who ordered takeout expressed significant disappointment with several dishes. According to this review, the orange chicken was described as "extremely tough" with an "odd flavor" suggestive of old meat. The king pao chicken was reported to have "very fatty chewy chicken" accompanied by a sauce that bore no resemblance to traditional king pao sauce, lacking flavor and possessing only a "salty tang." While the egg drop soup was considered "fair," the ham hash within it was noted to have an "old meat taste." The fried rice was described as "flavorless." This customer spent over $100 and unfortunately found the majority of the food inedible, leading to 90% of it being discarded.

Another customer shared their experience with a lunch plate that included beef chow fun, egg foo young, and lemon chicken. This reviewer found everything on the lunch plate to taste "plain and old." The beef chow fun was described as "greasy and tasteless," and the egg foo young was characterized as simply a "pan fried egg" without gravy and no rice, which they felt was overpriced at $15. The only dish this customer found "edible" was the lemon chicken. Furthermore, this reviewer reported stomach discomfort after consuming some of the food and stated they would not order from the restaurant again.

We ordered take out. Not at all what we were expecting. The orange chicken was extreay tough and had a very odd flavor like it was old meat, the king pao chicken had very fatty chewy chicken. The sauce was quite the mystery… Didn’t taste anything like king pao. In fact there was zero flavor only a salty tang to it. The egg drop soup was fair. The ham hash in it had a very old meat taste to it. Fried rice was flavorless. We spent over $100 on food here and were very disappointed by all of it. Too bad because we we really looking forward to dinner. We threw away 90% of it. If we were not starving it all would have gone in the trash.

Ordered the lunch plate, beef chow fun, egg foo young, and lemon chicken. Everything on the lunch plate tasted so plain and old, beef chow fun was greasy and tasteless. Egg foo young was just a pan fried egg, no gravy, no rice for $15 The only edible thing was the lemon chicken After eating some of the food my stomach starting to hurt… will not order from here again.

Tried this place the other day, honestly worst meal we've had on island. Orange chicken was soggy, awful texture. I ordered chicken with mushrooms and veggies, a meal on their menu, cashier was confused by my order and I did not get chicken. Not offering rice with entree is wild to me, we ordered side of rice and the price just didn't make sense. Went home and made rice to save $10. I think they need to shorten menu and focus on cooking quality, or atleast edible, food.

Three strikes & they’re out. We’ve tried Ewa Pointe Chinese Restaurant 3 times in 3 months. First time was okay, but not great. The portions were generous so we gave them another try. Second time portions were much smaller & food just okay again. So tonight we thought we’d give them another try. We order fried rice, which once again was a generous portion. We also ordered sweet & sour chicken but instead received shrimp in it & not chicken. Extremely dangerous mistake for those who may have a shellfish allergy! Called the restaurant to tell them what happened. I was told to just call the delivery service for a refund. No offer to fix my order & make it right. Very disappointing. Not ordering from there again.

Came here for a family wedding today, and although the food was good, service was okay. Didn't get to try the other foods on their menu cuz everything was pre ordered ahead of time. But overall not bad.
