Evergreen Restaurant

I ordered the General Tso’s chicken. The menu said it comes with peppers, mushrooms, and broccoli. It only came with broccoli, and the broccoli was cold. My fiancée said she didn’t like her dish either, the veggies and shrimp were cooked separately from the sauce with the sauce just being added at the end.

The food was amazing. Beautifully plated. We received it pretty quickly. The decor is beautiful. I did see a waitress give her table excellent service, however once we received our food our waitress never checked on us. The other waitress had to give my grandson his straw for his drink because we didn't see ours on the floor once we received our food.

Friends suggested this Chinese restaurant for its good food and atmosphere. It was lovely although in a strip mall. Modern yet subdued relaxing setting with modern and classic detail in decor. Open seating with booths and tables; Plenty of room so as to feel you were not in a crowded room. Our food and appetizers were good. Tempura shrimp was light and delicate and the pot stickers were a little flat for my taste. Sauces were good. Spring rolls nice and crispy, filling was good but not surprising. We had the Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Fried with Chicken; both portions were substantial to large portions. Flavor? I could have liked more flavor, more challenging piquant sauces. Both of us like spicy flavors and other flavor nuances specific to global regions. However the Matcha Ice Cream (my companion had the ice cream and loved it ). So good points for the dessert. Great service. An over all good experience with good food. Will go again.

General Tso's was tasty but just token amount of broccoli. Soups were all good. Others enjoyed their Sesame Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken. We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere for visiting; no music in background.

This place is pretty good. I really like that they have the classics and the “authentic” Chinese menu. The food is decent and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is the meat was a bit dry. The chow mein noodles were delicious.
