As a local Chinese restaurant, Evergreen Chinese Restaurant has received concerning feedback from recent customers regarding both food quality and service since a change in ownership. One reviewer, who was recommended the restaurant based on its previous owners (Gary and Miss May), reported a negative experience with the new management. They described the new owner as rude and lacking in customer service. The pepper steak with onions they ordered was said to be primarily fat with a chewy and unusual texture, not tasting like regular steak. The rice was described as reheated, the bell peppers as not fresh, and the overall meal was considered a waste of money. This reviewer also mentioned loud yelling and laughing coming from the kitchen and would not recommend the restaurant.

Another customer had an even more alarming experience, noting that their order arrived in a repurposed tomato sauce box. The lo mein was described as raw spaghetti without sauce, and the General Tso's chicken was raw and pink on the inside. The fried rice and dumplings were reported to have no flavor. This reviewer expressed extreme disappointment with the food quality and suggested the cooks and owners should be ashamed.

Based on these recent reviews, it appears that Evergreen Chinese Restaurant is currently facing significant issues with food quality and customer service under new ownership. Potential customers should be aware of these negative experiences when considering dining at or ordering from this establishment. The reviews do not provide any information about the restaurant's environment or any current promotions.

I was recommended here by a friend who thought the old owners (Gary and Miss May) were still the owners but they’re not it’s a new woman and she is rude, & lack great customer service! I ordered the pepper steak w/ onions & the meat was all fat meat! Very chewy, very weird texture and didn’t taste a bit lil steak! Idk what type of meat it was but it wasn’t regular meat! The rice was reheated up the bell peppers weren’t fresh & I spent $17 which was a waste of money honestly! The woman that took my order wasn’t friendly at all and lacked customer service skills. There was a lot of yelling and laughing in the back while they were cooking the food. Do not recommend for family and friends unless you dong care about the mystery meat!

My order came in a Walmart (great value) Tomato Sauce half cut box, it arrived on my doorstep and I thought it was a package. My Lo Mein was just raw spaghetti not any kind of sauce, my General To was raw and pink on the inside. I noticed the pink when i was halfway done. Fried rice had no flavor nor did the dumplings. The cooks and owners ought to be ashamed…

Me and my wife tried this tonight and we’re definitely not eating again food was bland and not appetizing. We had the house special low mein , 2x 6ct cream cheese wontons and sweet and sour chicken and it’s wasn’t good. Worst spot in town in my opinion and for the price of 32$ yeah I’ll just stay to chopstick bros by the college they’re better and can’t beat the price always fresh, but this place I wouldn’t recommend .

My wife and I were out shopping and saw the sign for Chinese food. Instantly needing a meal, we chose this location. We were promptly seated and our drink orders were taken. They have a great list of combination meals at a great price. We both ordered Shrimp Lo Mein which comes with an egg roll and soup for less than most Chinese restaurants charge for just the plate of food. The soup came out instantly and our meals came out shortly there after. The food was excellent! We will definitely return. This location is highly recommended!

Always very good food , often they are incredibly rushed with service, and it seems like they just want you to eat and leave. They yell across the dining room to the kitchen. It's not a relaxing place like it used to be.
