Eveready Diner

This is an old-fashioned Diner complete with the classic diner decor. We stopped in for breakfast and everything we ordered came out as HUGE portions! I ordered Cottage Cheese with Fruit, a Sesame Bagel and some pork sausage. I loved that they have Sesame Bagels (my favorite!)! My husband got a classic Benedict and we both enjoyed everything. Our server was not that great. She took our order and delivered our food and the bill to the table, and we never saw her again. You have to go to the cashier to pay your check. We would definitely return to this restaurant for the food, but the service could use and upgrade if we were in the area again.

We were here on a Tuesday. Suspect bread was from the weekend, extremely dry, for the chicken cordon blue. Also weird grilled chicken in it. Could not finish it. Banana Foster French toast was great. Service was very slow, was not a quick visit at all. Great 50's diner atmosphere. Had a clearly dirty fork in my silverware package, staff should have easily seen if they were paying attention.

As soon as you pull into the parking lot you can see the charm of this vintage diner. The inside looks like a time capsule from the 1960s. The food is what you would expect from a diner but is seasoned and cooked very well. Even 15 years after its appearance on season 1 of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives the place still has the same classic appeal and food is well worth the trip. The French Onion Dip sandwich on fresh baked bread was delicious and so were the wings that are fried and coated in a tasty buffalo sauce

The food was great! The staff very nice. But the place needs some TLC. Needs a good cleaning. There were a lot of flies probably a door open by the kitchen. Would I go back it’s a maybe only because my food was really delicious.

This was an awesome diner! I had road tripped up to Hyde Park for the FDR Museum and had stopped in for dinner before heading home. The atmosphere was top-notch, the food was excellent and had great presentation, and the staff were all terrific.
