Customer reviews for Erawan present contrasting experiences. One visitor who ordered takeout found the Thai spring rolls to be decent, accompanied by a unique vinegar-based dipping sauce which they enhanced with requested peanut sauce. However, they were disappointed with the Shrimp Pad Thai, describing it as overly sweet and goopy with only six shrimp. They also noted that the customer service upon pickup was subpar, with a surly server directing them curtly.
In contrast, another customer had a very positive experience. They praised the super kind staff and quick service, with their food ready for pickup in less time than quoted. They found the portions to be fresh and healthy-sized. Notably, they raved about the sausage in the fried rice and described the Thai fried rice as one of the best they had ever tasted. Their wife's tofu curry was also full of flavor, with tasty tofu.
In summary, Erawan is a Thai restaurant in Syracuse, NY, with varying customer experiences. While some have found the food, particularly dishes like the Thai fried rice and tofu curry, to be excellent and the service quick and friendly, others have reported issues with specific dishes like the Pad Thai and experienced less than satisfactory customer service during pickup. Potential customers may want to consider these differing opinions when deciding to order from or visit Erawan.

Customer Reviews
Hello, I’m visiting family here in Syracuse and decided to try out some Thai food from this restaurant. I ordered the Thai spring rolls and Shrimp Pad Thai. The spring rolls were decent. It came with a vinegar/sugar/water dipping sauce. It was different but good. I still requested peanut sauce and the combination of the sauces was good! Now for the pad Thai…it wasn’t very good. It was really sweet, goopy and only 6 shrimp in the entire dish. I had to add extra lemon to cut the sweetness of the sauce and it was still too sweet. I’ve been to Thailand and ate pad Thai there and it still wasn’t as sweet! The customer service was blah. Soon as I entered the restaurant to pick up my order, the one server was kinda surly and told me to “go over there” to pick up my order. I was tempted to just leave based on her attitude alone. While, I get it’s 45 minutes before closing, but between the service and the food, I definitely do not recommend this Thai restaurant…
Super kind staff, with very quick results. Had our food ready to pickup in less time quoted. Fresh and healthy sized servings. Sausage in the fried rice was out of this world. The Thai fried rice was one of the best I’ve ever had and I get TFR in every city and town I visit. Wife’s tofu curry was also full of flavor with the tofu being actually tasty!
I’ve been searching for a restaurant that is better than Erawan for Pad See Ew and have never found one. My family and I have been going here for 15+ years. This was my first introduction to thai food. I have since moved out of the state and always make a point to stop by when I’m in town visiting. Their pad see ew pork, pad woo Sen, and pad Thai, are classic (lol basic but incredible) staples that my family and I get every time.
Still a solid option for Thai cuisine. Food is consistently of good quality. Enjoyed red coconut curry. Atmosphere is on the level of a no-frills family owned restaurant.
I’ve had pad thai in many places around the world, never tasted one this much sugary with very few other ingredients than the noodles. It was basically a sweet ketchup pasta. I couldn’t eat most of it and asked why it was so sweet and why there were so few shrimps (5 per order as they told me), the response was basically “this is what it is”. Not every customer will like whatever is served at a given restaurant, so expecting that and having better manners when that happens should be a practice they work on I believe.
