Empress Gardens

I've been eating here for a year now. The Food is tasty always fresh. Fast Service and its in the Harvard Row Strip Mall. Very Reasonable with Nice Size Food Portions.

Today the food was good I feel this place is better for dine in only NO CARRY OUT after reading reviews and having bad experience with carry out order and the older lady needs to retire because she doesn't have people skills at all. Plus I'm alittle disappointed about the food having MSG in it from the review on here. Today we had Hong Kong steak, Salt shrimp, house special, wonton and egg drop soup. They need to get it together fresh fresh food with high prices people paying. I'm on the fence right now.

I will not be back to this restaurant I went last week and had a very bad experience, first off we were the first 2 people in the restaurant early afternoon ordered our food 4 more customers come in we received out soup, egg roll and drink we finished that 10 minutes later still waiting on our main entry next thing you know the waiter is bringing out our food and took it to the table across from us well it was our food I had to ask the waiter was that our food and he said yes I made a mistake we still waited about 10 minutes and finally received our food moral of the story was we was the first in the restaurant and the last to leave, no one apologize until we were leaving the owner or manager never came and apologized I think we should have got conversated for all that problem or the restaurant should have paided for it or at least took it off the bill but they didn't. and after all that still brought the order out wong I will not be back Waiter need to go back to training not trained well enough to wait on people he could barely speak English. Very very disappointed ☹️

Returned home in Southfield...Empress Gardens is definitely one of my favorite spots...our initial greeting was not like back in the day but the food and service was still top notch...Everything like I expected...Great Job Empress...!!

The food was absolutely phenomenal. They have gluten-free options. James was very attentive to our needs and answered my questions to make sure I followed my appropriate diet. The portion sizes were very large and I had two meals from my order. I really enjoyed the Szechuan chicken.
