About Empire Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Empire Chinese Restaurant, located at 1706 E Greenville St, Anderson, SC 29621, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Empire Chinese Restaurant aims to provide a variety of Chinese-American dishes to the local community. However, recent customer feedback available online paints a concerning picture regarding the quality of their food, which potential local users should carefully consider.

As a Chinese Restaurant, Empire Chinese Restaurant likely offers a standard menu of popular dishes, catering to both dine-in and takeout customers. However, the limited reviews available paint a starkly negative picture of the food quality. One reviewer described their experience as the "Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time," reporting illness ("got sick not even 10 mins after eating it") after consuming chicken wings and vegetable lo mein. This customer strongly advised against recommending the restaurant, citing suspicion about the chicken wings due to their unusually large size and an overall sense that "something ain’t right!"

Another reviewer echoed these sentiments of dissatisfaction, detailing multiple issues with their order. The sweet and sour chicken was described as "brown from being overcooked" to the point of being inedible ("just threw it all away"). The sugar bread was also noted as being overcooked. Furthermore, the egg roll was reported to have "no flavor." This customer lamented that out of a $55 order, the "only thing that tasted decent was the pork fried rice." Despite the restaurant being recommended to them as newcomers to the area, their negative experience led them to conclude, "Maybe we caught them on an off night but I won’t eat here again."

Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to ascertain any positive aspects regarding the environment or services of Empire Chinese Restaurant. Neither review offers any comments about the ambiance, decor, cleanliness, or the general atmosphere of the establishment. Similarly, there is no feedback provided about the customer service, speed of service, or the efficiency of their takeout operations. The strong focus of the reviews on the poor food quality overshadows any other potential aspects of the restaurant experience.

Based on the provided information, it is difficult to identify any specific features of Empire Chinese Restaurant that would be considered positive. The negative reviews consistently point to significant issues with food preparation and quality, including overcooking, lack of flavor, and even potential food safety concerns. The only dish that received a neutral to slightly positive mention was the pork fried rice, but this single item is insufficient to establish a positive feature profile for the restaurant as a whole.

Currently, there is absolutely no indication of any promotional information for Empire Chinese Restaurant in the provided reviews. Given the serious concerns raised about the food quality and potential health risks, it is unlikely that any promotions would outweigh these significant drawbacks for potential local users. It would be advisable for the restaurant to address the fundamental issues with their food preparation before attempting to attract customers through promotions.

In conclusion, the available online feedback for Empire Chinese Restaurant in Anderson, SC, is overwhelmingly negative, with customers reporting issues such as overcooked and tasteless food, potential foodborne illness, and overall poor quality. While the restaurant operates within the Chinese Restaurant category and likely offers standard dine-in and takeout services, the severe concerns about the food quality make it difficult to recommend this establishment to local users based on the provided information. Potential customers should proceed with extreme caution and consider these recent negative experiences before deciding to dine at or order from Empire Chinese Restaurant. It would be prudent to seek more recent and potentially more positive reviews from other sources before considering this option.

Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. I got sick not even 10 mins after eating it. I ordered chicken wings and vegetable lo mein. I ate two pieces of the chicken and just a few bites of the lo mein. Do not recommend something ain’t right! Chicken wings definitely was suspect due to how big they were.

My sweet and sour chicken was brown from being overcooked, I took a bite and just threw it all away. The sugar bread was overcooked. The egg roll had no flavor. Honestly, we ordered $55 in Chinese and the only thing that tasted decent was the pork fried rice. This place came recommended so being new to the area I figured I’d give it a try. Maybe we caught them on an off night but I won’t eat here again.

I just like the fried spring rolls here. They are good size and full of vegetables. Eat them with sweet sour sauce.

The best buffet in Anderson. The Sunday buffet must have had over 50 items, including many of my favorites. Will be heading back soon
