This was excellent. The staff were pleasant but also unobtrusive. We met with friends that hadn't seen in a while and needed to catch up. Didn't feel rushed. Food was excellent. Peking duck buns were delicious. I'd never had soup dumplings and was amazed by the perfect temperature and flavor. The green beans were so tasty! I only wish we had ordered the bacon fried rice ..next time!

A very hip spot for quite delicious Chinese fare. We tried a few dishes, all nicely executed with authentic flavor and flare while pleasing to the American palate. The plate arrangement suits solo or couples' portions, unlike old school setups, where food is meant to be shared by many off large oval plates. Empire serves up elevated home-style creations with matching technique and subtle spice blends that make them memorable and reminiscent of grandma's cooking. The food is truly delightful! Service is attentive, mindful and respectful. The space is well-appointed with personal touches everywhere that make you feel welcome and like you're dining in someone's home. Long live the Empire!

This place offers a truly satisfying Chinese dining experience. The combination of delicious, authentic food, warm ambiance, and excellent service makes it a standout in the local culinary scene. Whether you're craving familiar favorites or eager to explore more regional dishes, Golden Dragon is a fantastic choice. We will definitely be returning!

I really want to love this restaurant. I truly do. It is reputed to be the best Chinese food town. It has a hip fun and lively environment, But every time I eat here, I walk away feeling that I’ve spent a lot of money and that I am. disappointed. Here are some of today’s low points. To start I ordered a Chinese Margarita which both the menu and the waitress described as tart and spicy. I ordered it and asked that it be made with no simple syrup as I do not like sweet cocktails. It arrrived after my soup - And I’m guessing that making it without sugar syrup through the bar into a dither. (turns out that they make this drink ahead in batches, and that they could not customize it for me.) It arrived and it was neither spicy nor tart. Tasted a little bit like lime Kool-Aid with one sorry jalapeño size floating on the top. The waitress could see it was depressed, and actually brought me a little shot glass of lime juice (bottled, of course, sigh). Next at bat was my hot and sour soup, which, guess what? Was neither spicy hot nor sour. It has skimpy ingredients (about three or four tiny cubes of tofu) but mostly a soy and cornstarch broth with a few strands of Lotus blossom For my “entree“, I ordered “Spicy Orange Beef” with rice and bok choy. They kindly gave me some green beans instead of bok choy. The green beans were the best part of my meal. The beef pieces were paper, thin slices which had been breaded or battered and deep-fried, and the result was like fried shoe leather. Tough and dry and deep And, of course, I could not taste orange peel nor any heat. For heaven sakes, panda express in the main mall has better orange chicken. And to top it all off, they brought me a chocolate fortune cookie with my check. This was the one time I would have liked a … plain cookie. Ok 3 strikes you’re out, Empire.

Great food...not so great service. Seated promptly, ordered, but the waitress never came back to see if I needed anything. Someone else put my plate down, didn't ask if everything was okay. I needed utensils and had to flag down the waitress. Food was very good, but disappointed in the lack of customer service 😞
