About Emerald Garden Restaurant

Emerald Garden Restaurant was a Chinese Restaurant located at 2301 Artesia Blvd #1, Redondo Beach, CA 90278, USA. They could be contacted at (310) 214-5455 or +1 310-214-5455.

Recent customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the current state of Emerald Garden Restaurant. One reviewer described a shocking experience upon pickup, referring to the location as a "ghost building," which should have been a warning sign. They reported that all the food tasted bad, including the rice, and they ultimately had to discard their entire order. This reviewer expressed sadness at seeing the apparent decline of the restaurant.

Another customer shared a similar experience, noting that while they had enjoyed the food in the past (even as recently as the previous year), their recent order was severely disappointing. They mentioned an "off smell" from the fried rice and that the lemon chicken was not prepared as it used to be, developing an "odd taste" after only a couple of bites, leading them to believe it was inedible. The orange chicken was also reported to have the same strange taste. This customer threw out their entire order and unfortunately experienced food poisoning the following morning after only consuming a small amount of the food. They stated they would never return.

Based on these very recent and negative reviews, local users should be aware of significant issues with the food quality at Emerald Garden Restaurant. The descriptions of the food being inedible and the report of food poisoning are serious concerns. Potential customers may want to exercise extreme caution and consider these experiences before deciding to order from this establishment.

Used to be our go- to place. Should have read these reviews first. Picking up was a shock. Ghost building. That should have told us not to eat the food. All tasted bad. Even rice. Tossed it. Sad to see it gone.

I used to eat here a few years ago, and it was good. Even last year, I got some lemon chicken, and it was very good. I don’t know what was wrong with our food tonight, but when I got it home, even the fried rice had an off smell. The lemon chicken was not prepared like it had been in the past, and after two bites, I tasted an odd taste. I thought maybe old oil used, but no matter what it was, it was not edible. The orange chicken had the same odd taste. Threw out everything. Woke up early this morning with food poisoning. Thank god I only ate a couple bites. I think now it was bad chicken, not bad oil. I will never go back. !

We were very disappointed in the dinner (take home). The kampao chicken was strange and most of it seemed burned. The steam rice was dry and tasteless. We had three other orders that were equally poor.

Ordered via UberEats. We're not far, so the food was nice and hot when it arrived. That's the best thing I can say about the food. First off, I ordered crab Rangoon and got just cream cheese filled wonton. I ordered 3 entrees. The beef chow mean had a burnt taste. The first bite of my sweet and sour chicken tasted like... fish. It was clear that they had not used a clean surface or clean oil, something, for the food to have such a distinct fish taste. This was pervasive throughout the dish. It was also grainy, as if there was too much flour or corn starch in the sauce, and there was significantly too much vinegar (I think that was the flavor I was tasting), it smelled almost alcoholic. I also got an order of orange peel beef, and the experience was similar to the chicken but without the fish taste. I could not finish my entree, not even enough bites to feel full. After spending over $20 for just my entree and "crab rangoon," I just made myself a sandwich and threw the food out. Steering _very_ clear from this place. Having no food is better than this "food"

Same experience as others. Ordered online and went to pick it up- the doors were locked with the “open” sign on. No one answering phone line. Probably won’t waste my time again.
