About Embrace Luck

Embrace Luck is a Chinese restaurant located at 286 W El Camino Real in Mountain View, California. They can be contacted at (650) 386-5338 or +1 650-386-5338. This establishment offers a dine-in experience and appears to prioritize good customer service, a friendly staff, and clean premises, including the restrooms.

Customers have highlighted several dishes as particularly enjoyable. The coconut chicken soup and the Shanghai style vegetable rice have both received positive feedback for their taste and quality. Another notable dish is the black pepper steak, described as tender and flavorful despite one reviewer finding the black pepper beef dice too spicy for their preference.

A unique feature of Embrace Luck is their innovative chopsticks system, which provides a disposable tip that you install onto the body of the chopstick. This is appreciated as a hygienic approach.

While some customers found the restaurant to be a little on the pricier side, one reviewer mentioned the fried pork appetizer as a good value with a generous portion and good flavor, noting a prominent cumin seasoning. The Shanghai veggie rice was also praised for not being too oily and having a good balance of vegetables and bacon.

Despite the positive aspects, one potential consideration for new customers is that the specific style of Chinese cuisine offered at Embrace Luck might not be immediately apparent. While some Shanghai dishes are well-received, it lacks typical dishes from San Tung, where the chef reportedly originates. Overall, Embrace Luck seems to offer a generally positive dining experience with some standout dishes and a focus on hygiene, though it might be perceived as somewhat expensive.

Good service, friendly staff, clean facilities (including the restroom). Little bit on the pricey side. Black pepper beef dice are too spicy for my liking! The coconut chicken soup is very good. Shanghai style vegetable rice is also very good. Their chopsticks “system” is the first I have ever see. Just gave you the disposable tip of the chopsticks for you to installed into the body of the chopstick is a very nice hygiene’s way to go.

I drove by this place before, looked at the review and then checked out the menu and decided it's too expensive and not sure what the identity or the style of cuisine was so I decided not to try. Until a group of friends wanted to try it so we did. It turned out much better than expected. Black pepper steak - Sweet and soy sauce pan grilled the tender steak engulf in black pepper sauce actually taste really good. Winter melon in the pot - Spicier then expected for a veggie dish. Not bad. Fried pork - Probably the one dish that was a good deal. As an appetizer, its portion was big. Flavor is good but you will need to like cumin since it powdered with it after frying them. Shanghai veggie rice - this rice was done very well. Not too oily and good combo ratio on veggie and bacon. Still felt it's bit overpriced. And the lack the identity of cuisine it is will also impacted the future popularity of this restaurant. The chef was from San Tung but it didn't have the typical San Tung dishes like 乾烹雞or 炸醬麵. At least some of the Shanghai dishes were done well. Nevertheless, still pricey.

+ High quality food. We ordered fried rice, picked fish soup and garlic ribs. All amazing. Thin sliced and tender fish fillets. Juicy ribs and well seasoned fried rice. + Good service. + The traditional Chinese style decoration was very elegant. - Quite expensive. Most major dishes are 30-50. The portions are large though. - A minor suggestion for the restaurant owner. The napkins are so tiny and so thin that it is almost unusable.

Really great Chinese food! The service is also good and quick. Recommend black pepper steak cube, shanghai bacon bok choy rice, shanghai style yellow eel, hotpot pickled cabbage fish and shanghai stir fry shrimp. The price is a bit higher then most of other Chinese restaurants, but food quality worth it. This place is really popular, we arrived around the evening opening time ~5pm and there was already a line.

The food was delicious and came promptly. The waitress was attentive and answered all our questions patiently while ordering. We had a great time dining here. We really recommend 上海菜飯 (Shanghai style pork and veggie fried rice) and 醃篤鮮 (YanDuXan)
