About El Rancho II

El Rancho II, located at 2100 W State St, Fremont, OH 43420, offers Mexican cuisine. You can contact them at (419) 334-3475 or +1 419-334-3475.

Based on customer reviews, El Rancho II has received mixed feedback regarding its food quality. The service and cleanliness of the restaurant are consistently praised, but the taste of the dishes has been a point of concern.

Customers have reported that dishes like the chicken burrito El grande and chicken enchiladas lack flavor, with the chicken described as tasting like canned chicken and the overall taste being bland. One customer specifically noted the absence of spices in their burrito.

The presentation of the food, especially the burritos, is noted as being nice, with fresh vegetables, guacamole, and sour cream. However, the taste does not live up to the visual appeal.

The queso is another point of criticism, with customers finding it bland and overpriced. One customer was shocked by the $9.50 charge for a small bowl of queso, which they described as white, bland cheese with no spices.

Despite the issues with the food, the waitstaff is consistently described as nice and attentive, and the restaurant is noted for its cleanliness.

Overall, while El Rancho II offers good service and a clean environment, the food quality, particularly the lack of flavor and the overpriced queso, may deter some customers.

My granddaughter and I both ordered the chicken burrito El grande. They brought us a small bowl of cold chips. We didn't like their salsa, so we asked if they had some queso which she brought. The queso was bland white cheese. It didn't have flavor at all. We were starving so we ate it anyway. When she brought the burritos the presentation was nice with fresh vegetables, guacamole and sour cream. It looked great. Biting into the burrito... it tasted like canned chicken with some beans, honestly I did not taste or smell any spices whatsoever. I ate the vegetables and maybe two bites of the burrito. I'm pretty much of a tightwad so I usually take all of my leftovers home. I didn't even want to take anything home because I knew I never wanted to eat it again. Also I was quite shocked when I got the bill that a small bowl of queso cost $9.50. She told me it was specially made there, but again, it was white bland cheese with no spices, so I can't understand what the recipe would be. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The place was clean.

Waitress was nice and attentive, restaurant was very clean. I think the chicken in my enchiladas was very bland.

I was greeted with stressed straight faces who seemed almost annoyed with my entry (a one top table.) they do not have cheese sauce, they offered me two salsas with no explanation of what they are, no napkins or silver ware given until asked. My Dr Pepper was all syrup no fizz. Chicken chimichanga was basically a deep fried chicken taco with cheeses cheese on a plate, no sauce, no peppers inside. Will not come back.

The best I have had in a long time. Going from South American to San Diego or Cozumel. The food was outstanding! Will eat again. Get the Verde sauce! Everything we ate was outstanding!

The quality of the food is starting to wither. Somehow their tortillas got more bland in flavor. The salsa at the table has changed to 2 cups of the same salsa. If you want to call it salsa.
