About El Pabellon De Oro
El Pabellon De Oro is a Chinese restaurant situated at 1501 Westchester Ave, Bronx, NY 10472, USA, serving the local community in the Bronx, New York City. As a "Chinese Restaurant," El Pabellon De Oro offers a variety of dishes, with customer reviews providing contrasting perspectives on the food quality, service, and cleanliness of the establishment.
Regarding the environment, one customer review paints a starkly negative picture, describing El Pabellon De Oro as "the dirtiest place I’ve ever been." This reviewer detailed several unsanitary conditions, including an extremely dirty bathroom and ATM. They also noted the absence of hair nets for staff and reported that "the silver areas" (presumably referring to cutlery or serving dishes) were "extremely dirty." These observations suggest significant hygiene issues within the restaurant environment, raising serious concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the premises.
In contrast, another customer review offers a positive perspective on the service, stating "even faster service." This suggests that the restaurant might be efficient in preparing and delivering food to its customers. However, this positive comment is juxtaposed with the severe cleanliness concerns raised by the other reviewer, indicating a potential inconsistency in the overall customer experience, where efficiency might come at the expense of hygiene.
In terms of features, one satisfied customer praised the "great food," specifically mentioning "great steak and shrimp" and "amazing pork fried rice." This suggests that El Pabellon De Oro might have certain dishes that are well-received and considered tasty by some patrons. The mention of steak and shrimp, while not exclusively Chinese, indicates a potentially diverse menu that might cater to a broader range of tastes or include Chinese-American fusion dishes. The positive feedback on the pork fried rice is more aligned with typical Chinese restaurant offerings.
However, the severely negative review also reported finding "hair in the food," which is a critical food safety issue. This allegation, combined with the description of a dirty environment, raises significant concerns about the hygiene practices in the kitchen and food preparation areas. The presence of hair in food is unacceptable and can deter potential customers due to health and safety risks.
Currently, no specific promotional information, such as discounts, special offers, or lunch specials, is mentioned in the provided customer reviews for El Pabellon De Oro. As a local Chinese restaurant, they might have standard promotions that are not reflected in these limited reviews. Local users interested in any potential deals or specials would need to contact the restaurant directly at (718) 328-1252 or +1 718-328-1252 to inquire.
In conclusion, the customer reviews for El Pabellon De Oro present a highly conflicting view of the establishment. One reviewer praises the fast service and the taste of specific dishes like steak, shrimp, and pork fried rice. However, another review describes extremely unsanitary conditions, including a dirty environment, unclean facilities, and the alarming discovery of hair in the food. These are serious allegations that potential customers should consider carefully. The stark contrast in feedback makes it difficult to provide a balanced assessment. The severe hygiene concerns raised in one review significantly outweigh the positive comments about food and service in the other. Local users considering El Pabellon De Oro should be aware of these contradictory experiences and may want to exercise caution or seek further information before deciding to dine at or order from this Chinese restaurant.

Great food even faster service highly recommend this spot great steak and shrimp amazing pork fried rice
This spot was the dirtiest place I’ve ever been. There was hair in the food. The bathroom and ATM was ridiculously dirty. They had no head net and the silver areas extremely dirty. One star not approved
Pabollon Chinese Food Restaurant never disappoints! Their **broiled steak and shrimp** is packed with flavor, tender, and cooked just right. The **egg fried rice** is always fresh, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned. Portions are generous, service is fast and friendly, and the food quality is top-notch. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
My family decided to go to a restaurant that serves both Spanish and Chinese cuisine. My extended family on my dad's side all came together to dine and catch up. I got the chance to meet ten more members of the family and reconciled with my half-siblings (I consider them my full siblings). My siblings and I share a common bond in relation to our dad, making us understand one another. In the meantime, the food was excellent, and I cannot believe how the succulent steak, baked chicken and spiced shrimp was done, with the lo mein perfectly placed in metal plates. After the family was done dining, the staff, without us asking, provided free dairy for the children (my nephews and nieces). Overall, the atmosphere was so lively and agreeable that I could go there again to get that home vibe. The restaurant only accepts cash, but an ATM is right on the corner of the place, and there are multiple other ATM's and banks across the street from the place. I would go there for the food and warm customer service.
There food is so good! I love the Hispanic and Asian fusion menu and you don’t have to worry about the origins of the meat. The beef and chicken are real and are perfectly cooked, not rubbery and odd textured like local Chinese take out places. We treat ourselves to their food at least once a month. The Spicy lo mein is the best!
