El Catrín Tacos and More

My boyfriend and I were driving by and decided to stop and try this place out and IT WAS THE BEST DECISION. The customer service was 10 out of 10. The food is absolutely delicious. The presentation of the food and the atmosphere is just all around amazing. Highly recommend the taco salad with steak. Don't hesitate to come here. It's absolutely AMAZING!!

The food is really good, the service is top notch. A great fast casual Mexican joint that serves up some fun and unique options along with the traditional fair. The portions were generous. The fried food was a bit too friend for my liking, but I like grilled Mexican food better, so take that with a grain of salt. Chicken dishes were the highlight of the experience. It was a very expensive experience as well.

The food was ok. I ordered a taco dinner and the tacos lacked the pico and guacamole as indicated in the picture of the menu as well as the options. Based on that I couldn’t give the best review for them. However, the choriqueso was pretty good!

Excuse the eaten food pics, didn't think to take pics til I was getting full. I ordered the Birra Dinner, after taxes about $14 they were very juicy, beef was perfectly cooked (slightly pink), the consome was tasty, salty (as it is). My partner did order steak tacos which were a little pale and dry but I didn't taste them so not much to comment on that. The elote does not come on the cob however I enjoyed the flavor and my bean dip was cheesy and creamy! You can tell the place just opened, not a ton as far as atmosphere goes and the tv menus not being up, and empty space plus having paper menus but I'm sure they'll improve with time. I would suggest hair nets though because we found 2 hairs throughout our food. Last the service was a bit slow. Just under 15 minutes from when the person in front of us got their meal to when we got ours which is a pretty large gap but again, they just opened. Overall if I'm craving birra this is where I'd go and for that, they get my 5 stars

El Catrin Taco Shop offers delicious food that truly satisfies the taste buds. The tacos were excellent, bursting with flavor and authenticity. However, the service left something to be desired. Despite being the only patrons in the restaurant, we weren't greeted promptly or given much attention throughout the ordering process. We ordered to go after realizing they didn’t offer sit down service. You order your food up front and you can stay and sit if you want. Nonetheless, the food quality certainly merits a visit, albeit with hopes for an improvement in service.
