About Egg Roll Kitchen

Egg Roll Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant situated at 3620 N Grand Blvd in St. Louis, Missouri (63107, USA), serves the local community with a selection of Chinese cuisine. As a "Chinese Restaurant" on our platform, Egg Roll Kitchen aims to provide accessible Chinese food options for residents and visitors in the area. They can be contacted via phone at (314) 531-3252 or mobile at +1 314-531-3252 for inquiries or to place orders, suggesting the availability of takeout services.

Operating as a local Chinese eatery, Egg Roll Kitchen likely features a menu encompassing a range of dishes commonly found in American Chinese cuisine. These might include various fried rice preparations, noodle dishes such as lo mein, and popular entrees like hot braised chicken and possibly duck. The name "Egg Roll Kitchen" itself suggests that egg rolls are a featured item on their menu, likely offered as an appetizer.

Based on recent customer feedback, it's important for potential diners to consider the experiences shared by others. One customer reported "very nice service," noting a friendly greeting and a reasonable food preparation time. They found the food to be "good but not the best" they had tasted in St. Louis, placing it within a competitive range. This reviewer also commented positively on the cleanliness of the establishment.

In contrast, another customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their recent order. They purchased two hot braised chicken plates, and reported that the wings included were "hard and overcooked" to the point of being inedible. The rice was described as "gummy." Additionally, they ordered a whole portion of duck and noodles, noting no complaints about the duck itself, but found the noodles to be overcooked. A half order of vegetable lo mein was also part of their order, which they stated lacked vegetables other than onions and celery. The total cost of this order was $43.00, which the customer felt was "definitely not worth it," leading them to conclude they would neither recommend nor revisit the restaurant. The only positive aspect mentioned by this reviewer was that the "guy is nice."

These two reviews present contrasting perspectives on Egg Roll Kitchen. One highlights positive aspects such as friendly service, reasonable preparation time, good (though not exceptional) food, and cleanliness. The other details significant issues with food quality, specifically overcooked wings and noodles, gummy rice, and a lack of expected ingredients in the vegetable lo mein, leading to an unfavorable assessment of value for money.

For local users in the North Grand Boulevard area of St. Louis seeking a Chinese restaurant, Egg Roll Kitchen is an available option offering takeout. The presence of phone contact information facilitates easy ordering. However, prospective customers may wish to weigh the varying experiences reported by recent diners regarding food quality and consistency. The positive mention of service and cleanliness by one reviewer may also be a factor for some.

Given the mixed feedback, individuals considering ordering from Egg Roll Kitchen might find it helpful to inquire about specific dishes or preparation methods when placing their order. Asking about the ingredients in dishes like the vegetable lo mein or the preparation of items like the hot braised chicken could provide more clarity and help manage expectations. As there is no information provided about the restaurant's environment or any specific features beyond the food itself, local users primarily need to consider the potential quality and consistency of the dishes based on the available reviews.

As a local Chinese restaurant, Egg Roll Kitchen contributes to the dining options in its neighborhood. The convenience of takeout service makes it accessible for those wishing to enjoy Chinese food at home. However, the customer reviews suggest a potential variability in food quality across different dishes. Therefore, new customers might approach their first order with mindful consideration of these past experiences.

In summary, Egg Roll Kitchen, located on North Grand Boulevard in St. Louis, is a Chinese restaurant offering takeout. Customer reviews indicate generally positive service and cleanliness, but also highlight potential inconsistencies in food quality, with specific concerns raised about overcooked items, gummy rice, and the composition of certain dishes. Potential customers are advised to consider these points and perhaps contact the restaurant directly for more information before placing an order.

Very nice service, I was greeted friendly and the food was made in a reasonable time. The food was good but not the best I tasted in STL but within striking distance. The establishment was clean as well.

I bought two hot braised chicken plates and the wings were hard and overcooked. They were not edible at all. The rice was gummy. I got whole order of duck and noodles and no complaints about the duck but noodles were overcooked and a half order of vegetable lo mein that didn’t have any vegetables other than onions and celery. It cost $43.00 definitely not worth it and I will never recommend nor will I ever visit again. The guy is nice is all I can say positive about this place.

This place has so many good memories for me it was and still is a community staple. The place is always clean and they have built up a long standing relationship with the customers. I still remember how proud Lee was when his son was born and everyone who came in there and I mean EVERYONE congratulated his family on the new addition. I think I was a teen at the time. That's what you call history!
