About EE Home Cooking
EE Home Cooking is a Chinese restaurant located at 43689 Mission Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539. As a Chinese restaurant, EE Home Cooking aims to provide authentic Chinese cuisine to the local community. They can be contacted at (510) 440-8822 or their mobile number +1 510-440-8822 for inquiries.
Information regarding the specific environment or ambiance of EE Home Cooking is limited in the provided reviews. One review focuses primarily on the food quality, quantity, and pricing, while another simply states that the food is "great authentic food." Without further details, it is difficult to objectively describe the restaurant's atmosphere. Potential customers may need to visit or inquire directly to gain a better understanding of the dining environment.
Similarly, details about the services offered at EE Home Cooking are not extensively covered in the reviews. However, as a standard Chinese restaurant, it can be inferred that they likely provide both dine-in and takeout options. One review mentions ordering a lunch plate, suggesting the availability of such service. The fact that a customer inquired about refilling a glass of water indicates typical table service for dine-in customers. However, the unusual charge of 50¢ for a water refill was a point of concern for that reviewer. The positive comment about "great authentic food" might also imply a certain level of service quality in terms of food preparation and delivery to the table or for takeout.
A key feature of EE Home Cooking, according to one reviewer, is the "great authentic food." This suggests that the restaurant focuses on providing dishes that are true to traditional Chinese flavors and recipes, which could be a significant draw for those seeking an authentic culinary experience. However, another review raises serious concerns about the quantity of food provided in relation to the price. This reviewer described ordering a lunch plate with chow mein as a rice substitution for $20 and felt that the amount of food was comparable to a single order from a fast-food chain like Panda Express. They also noted an imbalanced ratio of ingredients, with the chow mein being almost equal parts bean sprouts and noodles, and the entrees containing significantly less meat than vegetables.
The issue of pricing in relation to quantity appears to be a significant point of contention for at least one customer. The $20 lunch plate was perceived as expensive for the amount of food received. Additionally, the unusual charge for a water refill further contributed to the perception of poor value. This suggests that while the food might be of decent quality and authentic, the pricing strategy and portion sizes may not align with customer expectations, especially when compared to other dining options.
Promotional information for EE Home Cooking is not mentioned in the provided reviews. Restaurants often use promotions to attract customers, such as lunch specials, combination deals, or discounts on certain days. To find out if EE Home Cooking offers any such promotions, it would be necessary to contact them directly at (510) 440-8822 or +1 510-440-8822. Inquiring about their current specials or any advertised deals could provide a more complete picture of the value proposition they offer.
In conclusion, EE Home Cooking in Fremont is a Chinese restaurant that is praised by one reviewer for its "great authentic food." However, another customer expressed significant concerns regarding the quantity of food provided for the price charged. This reviewer felt that a $20 lunch plate offered a small portion size with an imbalanced ratio of ingredients and was comparable to fast-food quantities. The unusual charge for a water refill was also noted as a negative aspect. While the authenticity of the food might be a draw for some, potential customers should be aware of the reported issues with portion sizes and pricing. It may be prudent to inquire about portion sizes and costs before ordering, or to consider the value offered in comparison to other Chinese restaurants in the area. For local users in Fremont, EE Home Cooking presents a dilemma: potentially authentic flavors weighed against concerns about quantity and price.
For local residents of Fremont seeking authentic Chinese cuisine, EE Home Cooking on Mission Blvd might be a place to try based on one positive review. However, the contrasting negative feedback regarding the value for money, specifically the small portions and high prices, should also be carefully considered. If supporting local establishments is a priority, despite potential cost and quantity issues, then EE Home Cooking might be an option. However, for those primarily focused on getting a satisfying amount of food at a reasonable price, exploring other Chinese restaurants in Fremont might be a more prudent choice. It would be beneficial to gather more information, perhaps by viewing online menus or recent reviews on other platforms, to get a broader perspective on the dining experience at EE Home Cooking.
EE Home Cooking offers a mixed impression based on the limited available reviews. The potential for authentic flavors is appealing, but the reported issues with small portions, high prices, and unusual charges like a water refill are significant drawbacks. Local users considering dining here should weigh the importance of authentic taste against concerns about value. It might be wise to ask for details about portion sizes and pricing when ordering, or to look for additional reviews to form a more comprehensive opinion before making a decision. Supporting local businesses is valuable, but ensuring a satisfactory dining experience in terms of both quality and value is also a key consideration for most consumers.

Decent quality food, but serious issues of quantity and price. A lunch plate (with chow mein for rice substitution) was $20. The amount of food was probably the same that you would get in a panda express order. The chow mein was almost equal parts bean sprouts than noodles, and there was much less meat than vegetables in the entrees. Refilling a glass of water cost 50¢, which is pretty crazy. If you want to support a local establishment, go ahead and break the bank, but if you just want a bite to eat, you are better off saving your money and going somewhere else.
Great authentic food. Definitely coming back
3 dishes for $30?! Can't get better than this. Definitely one of my favorite places to get Chinese food in Fremont. Place is small with a few tables but most people seem to take it to go. If you dine in though, you get the soup of the day! Soup is typically a clear herby broth. Food is flavorful, portions are decent, and service is great and fast. I love the sweet shanxi fish fillet (tastes almost like sweet and sour fish) as well as their black bean fish. But really, you can't go wrong with anything you order here!!! In addition they have lunch specials on weekdays (except Wednesday because they are closed) and accept credit cards with no extra charge!
We LOVE this place! It's amazing! Their orange peel chicken is amazing!!! Still one of our favorite places! All their food is delicious! We absolutely love this place and EE Fannie! We still love it!
Ordered the seafood tofu hot pot with rice and soup. The soup was an unusual bird's nest soup with yam and corn on the cob. Before I was half done with the soup, the hot pot was ready! The squid was tender and the shrimp tasted fresh. The fish filet wasn't overcooked. It was served piping, burning hot - perfect. Note that you can ask the chef for less salt or less oil - professional Chinese chefs are never offended if you ask for small adjustments. The total came to $13.02 after tax. Service was fast and friendly. The only improvement I could ask for is better attention to cleanliness (having to shoo two flies while eating ruins the experience). Otherwise, a solid five stars. I'll be back to try their lunch specials.
