About Eddy's Traditional Chinese Cooking

Eddy's Traditional Chinese Cooking is a Chinese restaurant situated at St. John's Plaza, 1683 US-9 #3, in Clifton Park, New York. While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, it functions mainly as a take-out establishment, offering a few tables for customers who prefer to dine on-site.

The restaurant is described as having an inviting atmosphere with a clean dining space. A very kind gentleman, possibly the owner, manages the operations, efficiently handling both take-out orders and ensuring the comfort of dine-in guests with services like beverage refills. Customers have noted the quick preparation time for food orders.

Among the dishes, the cucumber salad stands out for its delicious taste and generous portion size, with one reviewer suggesting it could easily be shared. The soup dumplings are also highly praised, characterized as pillowy and filled with flavorful pork and broth. Another customer enjoyed the beef chow fun, commenting on its excellent quality and the good quality of the beef.

However, one review mentioned a significant concern regarding the portion of shrimp in the Singapore mei fun, describing them as extremely small and few in number for the price. The reviewer also noted a lack of vegetables in the dish, despite acknowledging its good and spicy flavor. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the quantity of certain ingredients in some menu items.

For those in the Clifton Park area seeking a Chinese restaurant primarily for take-out with the option of limited dine-in, Eddy's Traditional Chinese Cooking offers quick service and some highly recommended dishes like the cucumber salad and soup dumplings. It's advisable to consider the feedback regarding potential inconsistencies in ingredient portions when making your order. My 1st visit here for dinner with a friend was a couple of weeks ago. For some reason, I was expecting a sit-down restaurant, but this is primarily a take-out spot with a few tables available for dine in and one very kind gentleman running all of it. The atmosphere was inviting, and the space, including tables, was clean. The gentleman (owner, I am guessing?) handled multiple take-out orders while also making sure we had everything we needed, including beverage refills. Food is prepared quickly, and our items came out with little wait time. I am notoriously a picky eater, and I really enjoyed my experience here. The cucumber salad was delicious and came in a huge portion. My friend and I each ordered one and realized after they came out that we should have split one. We also ordered soup dumplings for an appetizer and these were also wonderful. Pillowy dumplings filled with pork and yummy broth. I ordered chow fun with beef. Typically, I choose tofu as my protein, but I wanted to branch out. The dish was excellent and the beef was good quality also. I would love to come back to try more menu items, including fried rice (one of my favorites). Highly recommend giving this place a try.

The tiniest shrimp I have ever seen from any restaurant ever. I think they’re like the smallest microscopic size and they’re only four of them in my entire Singapore mei fun. It cost $17.10 also which is way too much. I think it’s just mostly rice noodle. Very few vegetables. I would give it two stars, but the flavor of the dish was good. Nice and spicy. Overall, I definitely won’t be going back with other options in the area serving full grown shrimp.

This place is a freaking gem. I live in a big city and come back to Clifton park to visit my parents. This place is LEGIT Szechuan food. The La Zi Ji (spicy chicken) is delicious and perfect numb hot. The dumplings were clearly homemade and not from a bag, extremely flavorful. Prices are very reasonable and service was fast and friendly. If this place opened in my city there would be a line Out the door - don’t take it for granted CP!

By far the best you can get. Not only is the food amazing but the staff is kind and efficient. They make you feel like family while enjoying some of the best food I've ever had. You cannot beat their soup dumplings or bok choy. They even recognized my son who had only been there a few times I cannot say enough great things about this place.

We ordered a hot and sour soup, pork fried rice, braised pork, and boneless spare ribs, this meat on every dish was tender and flavors were well-balanced. We enjoyed every bit of it. Will definitely recommend
