About Eastern Dynasty 粤品

Eastern Dynasty 粤品 is a Chinese Restaurant located at 4690 Convoy St #109, San Diego, CA 92111, USA. You can contact them at (858) 836-1168 or +1 858-836-1168.

This small restaurant specializes in Cantonese cuisine and has garnered positive reviews from customers. One group of four ordered four main dishes – eggplant and fish, French style beef, shrimp and vegetables, and roast duck – all of which were described as perfect. The chef was also noted for accommodating a special request. The wait staff were efficient and helpful.

Another customer who visited on a Saturday at 1 pm experienced no wait time and was seated immediately. While parking in the area can be challenging, requiring circling nearby lots or parking on the street, the dining experience was highly satisfactory. This was their second visit, and they were not disappointed. Standout dishes mentioned include the delicious cold chicken served with an onion and ginger sauce, the very fresh (though slightly tough) calamari, and the delicious roasted pork belly and fried tofu. The portion sizes were considered just right for sharing between two people, and a dinner with three dishes cost around $48.

The environment at Eastern Dynasty 粤品 is described as clean and well maintained. The staff is very attentive, and the manager reportedly checks on every table. The restaurant offers wine and beer, and tea is included with the meal. The service pace was noted as quick but not rushed, with dishes arriving as they were ready, starting with the cold chicken, followed by the fried calamari, and then a clay pot dish.

Eastern Dynasty 粤品 comes highly recommended by reviewers, with one even referring to it as an award-winning restaurant. If you are in San Diego and looking for authentic and delicious Cantonese cuisine in a clean and well-serviced environment, Eastern Dynasty 粤品 is a highly recommended choice.

Our group of 4 people order 4 main dishes and 2 bowls of rice to start. Every dish was delicious. Eggplant and fish, French style beef, shrimp and vegetables, and roast duck were perfect. The chef even accommodated our request. The wait staff were efficient and helpful. Hopefully, the pictures will be helpful and appetizing. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and there was no line at all, seated immediately. Parking, well, we parked on the nearby street; parking here is tough so plan on circling the lot of parking nearby.

This is a small Chinese restaurant specializing in Cantonese cuisine. This is our second visit and were not disappointed at all. The cold chicken is delicious and served with an onion and ginger sauce. The calamari was a bit tough but very fresh. The roasted pork belly and fried tofu is delicious. Each portion was just the right size to share for two people. The whole dinner was about $48. Nit bad for three dishes. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff is very attentive and the manager checks on every table. They have wine and beer. Our tea came with the diner. The service was quick but not overtly fast. Just the right pace. Typical, dishes come out as they are ready, so our cold chicken hit the table first, followed by the fried calamari and then the clay pot. Highly recommend this award winning restaurant !

Duck I was told was good however Kung Pao chicken was like eating dessert with chicken. Loaded with sugar and salt( no idea why). Needless to say it wasn’t good. Maybe other dishes are good however I don’t think I’ll return. The service is good.

The food came out quickly. Moderately priced and authentic, however it just was not all that tasty. It will suffice if you are Chinese and missing some Chinese food in San Diego, but nothing special. Decently large portions though! The owners and servers are all kind and the restaurant is nice.

Authentic Cantonese food. We normally head here to eat when relatives are in town as they have a pretty good family banquet set at a reasonable price. The food is consistent and usually comes out relatively quick. While the menu doesn't necessarily compares to what you might find in LA the food is tasty. Kitchen does close at 8:30, so come during dinner time or pick another resturant who opens later. No late night snacks here. The lines on Thursday night was non existent, so perhaps if deciding between the two nights to go out, come Thursday rather than Friday. Parking is still a nightmare in that center (even with handicap) so park on the street. Last night we came to celebrate my dads 94th birthday (relately low key affair) and he was pretty happy with his lobster lo mein, bbq duck/roasted pork plate, fish, tofu/mushrooms, and garlic pea pods. Since it was his birthday the resturant gave him 壽桃 (longevity birthday buns with red bean filling) to celebrate. They even did it after they closed the kitchen. He was very happy. Thank you for a great bday dinner for my dad.
