About East Meets West

East Meets West is a Chinese restaurant located at 65-07 Woodhaven Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374. You can reach them at (718) 830-9788 or +1 718-830-9788 for orders and inquiries. This Chinese restaurant offers a variety of services, with takeout being a particularly popular option according to customer reviews.

A notable feature of East Meets West is their lunch specials, which are described as unbelievably reasonably priced. These specials typically include a choice of soup or soda and a choice of rice. Customers have also found it easy to make substitutions, such as opting for a vegetarian spring roll instead of soup or Lo Mein instead of rice, often with a reasonable additional charge. The staff is reported to be courteous, and while they may have limited English proficiency, it is noted to be better than typically expected.

For those looking to dine in, it's important to be aware that seating at East Meets West is rather limited, so planning ahead might be necessary. However, the restaurant offers convenient alternatives such as easy online ordering through their own website or common delivery platforms. They also provide their own delivery service.

In terms of accessibility, East Meets West benefits from plenty of parking and is easy to get in and out of on Woodhaven Blvd, whether you are traveling east or west.

It is important to note that recent feedback includes a significant concern regarding food quality. One customer reported that multiple dishes, including sesame chicken and chicken with broccoli, tasted of rancid oil and were inedible, except for the sesame chicken which was consumed out of hunger. This suggests a potential issue with the oil being used in their cooking that prospective customers should be aware of.

Great place for takeout. Lunch specials are unbelievably reasonable priced. Each order comes with a choice of soup or soda and choice of rice. Like a vegetarian soring roll instead of soup, a Lo Mein instead of rice, no issues. Substitution is very easy to do and comes at a reasonable upcharge. Staff is courteous with more than typical limited English commands one may expect. There is plenty of parking. Easy to get in and out on Woodhaven Blvd going east or west. Seating to eat is rather limited, by the way. Plan ahead. Easy to order online. In their own websites or common delivery platforms. They deliver on their own as well.

The oil was rancid. Not able to eat. Only thing I was able to eat was the sesame chicken because I was so hungry. The chicken and broccoli was also rancid. Seems like they are using contaminated oil.

This place has been around for a long time and used to be good. Unfortunately the food that I just ordered for delivery was not good at all. The veggie dumplings we're all dough, the cold noodles came out red (for no reason) and the general tsos tofu was decent. I asked for extra sesame sauce on the cold noodles and it almost had none. Seriously, there wasn't even a normal amount on them. I also asked for them to make them extra spicy but it isn't spicy in the least. I also asked for hot sauce packets... They have my mustard. This was a $35 disappointment. It is so unfortunately. Calories without the taste. Fantastic. I'll never go again. **Update** I found a nice grey happy in my food! Yay! I guess they figured that they'd add it as a free gift to make up for the fact that the rest of the order was completely screwed up. FANTASTIC.
