Dusties Southern Style Buffet

Haven't been to this location in a long while. I'm glad to see they were open on a holiday, and they were busy but not too busy. The food was good, but the options for the buffet seemed limited. There were not many options for dessert, and most of the pop selections were out of order. Was just an okay buffet, considering the price. Might come back if in the area.

This by far is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious. All of it! If I name my favorites I would end up writing the whole menu! My mouth is watering as I type. The service is the best I’ve ever had, welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. The owner is humble and works as hard as the employees. They also are involved in a program that helps people and cut down on CO2e. Overall great people, food, ambiance, everything!!

I only came here because of default; we had reservations at 6:30 for Red Star not knowing they closed at 6:00; but that’s a whole other review that I will be writing when I’m done with this one. We arrived said dine-in; the total was $41.70. I almost walked out. 1.) I don’t do buffets 2.) for that price 3.) I cooked soul food extremely well. Let me digress. I asked the young lady at the front if I could have a to go container if I don’t eat all my food because I eat in smaller portions. She stated only if I leave a Google review. Looking over all the food; which did not look appetizing I settled on the fried catfish, cabbage, salad, greens and a cornbread muffin. My collards greens were unbelievable chewy and tasteless, the cabbage was horrible, oh I forgot about “potato wedges” that were hard and in my opinion was at least a couple of days old. The muffin was hard & cold the only item that was worth eating was the catfish. Essentially I paid $41.70 for 5 pieces of fish nuggets. I recommend not ever eating at this establishment; the prices are congruent with the quality of food. AND they had actual utensils of a knife and plastic forks. Who does that? Is ok to silverware for a knife but plastic forks? Please look at the picture of the food I took. I forgot the corn in the cob was absolutely tasteless no butter or salt. No flavor. I forgot to mention they had “dressing” I took the serving spoon just to see how stiff it was it didn’t appear appetizing at all.

My experience here was really good. The cooks were friendly, my waiter was friendly and very helpful. The place was clean. There was a few food selections that I didn't prefer, but I made sure I tried a small portion of everything there. The desserts didn't look too good so i didnt bother. It was very pricey, I stopped in as a solo traveler and paid $31 plus I always tip. I really appreciate the hospitality and the vibe/ambiance was comfortable

Omg where do I start ok Mother's Day we got there at about 6pm they close at 8 for dine in and take out 9. Let's talk about it most of the items were out and we were told that they would not be refilling them. We then asked about desserts and were told we should have came earlier cause they had everything. The desserts we got were not good at all dry couldn't chew or swallow without water cobblers should of just been trashed for 38.33 per person this was unacceptable. Soul food where no taste or favors whatsoever gives soul food a bad name. Not very clean either. I was so excited and hungry me and some more mothers went just to eat good and enjoy each others company and we spent the whole time complaining about the food what we wanted they didn't have and what we got they could've kept. It's a buffet food be refilled until you close. Not what's left is what you get we didn't pay for scraps we paid for a meal. We had to stop and pick up food so we were out of money and a meal. Please do better.
