About Dundas Spring Garden

Dundas Spring Garden is a Chinese restaurant offering meal takeaway services at 434 Dundas St W in Toronto. Unfortunately, no phone number or mobile phone number was provided in the available information.

Based on recent customer reviews, it's important for local users to be aware of some significant negative feedback regarding the food quality from Dundas Spring Garden's takeaway service. One customer who ordered noodles through a Chinese delivery app reported that the noodles tasted "off" and, despite initially thinking it was just poorly prepared, later experienced severe dehydration and nausea, suspecting food poisoning. This customer stated they would never order from this establishment again.

Another customer ordered rice noodles with chicken and vegetables via SkipTheDishes. They reported that the rice noodles arrived overcooked in a separate container, and the accompanying sauce contained very little of what appeared to be chicken. The overall meal was described as "awful," and this customer also indicated they would not order again.

Given the strongly negative recent experiences shared by these customers regarding the quality and safety of the food ordered for takeaway, local users might want to exercise caution when considering Dundas Spring Garden for their meal takeaway needs. It is advisable to look into other Chinese restaurant options in the area with more positive and consistent recent reviews.

As no information on the environment, services (beyond takeaway via delivery apps), features, or promotional information was available in the provided text, this introduction is limited to the address and the concerning customer feedback regarding food quality.

Ordered on Chinese delivery app last night, noodles tasted off at first but I just thought they didn’t make it properly (also didn’t taste that good but it was cheap) didn’t think it was a safety concern at first. I woke up severely dehydrated and wanting to puke, spent morning and afternoon drinking water and trying not to throw up. Not sure if it was food poisoning but never ordering here again.

Ordered on Skip rice noodles with chicken and veggies. Rice noodles arrived in separate container - completely overcooked. Then I got another container with very weird looking sauce mixed with some veggies and little tiny maybe 5 pieces of something that was supposed to be chicken.. combined everything in a bowl.. awful meal.. just awful.. never again.

The herbal chicken hotpot was closer to a sesame chicken hotpot. The flavor was good but the overall dish lacked cohesion and finesse. We were told we had to order a whole chicken even though they had half a chicken on the menu.

Preface this by saying we ordered on Christmas Day so I would give some leeway for being busy but looking at other reviews maybe not. Pan fried pork and chive dumplings arrived strangely browned and soaked in oil but eatable. The main problem was the roast duck & mixed veg dish. It arrived soaked in a gloopy clear sauce like mucous, and not in the way gravy/fat can gellify when its cold. Maybe I'm being an ignorant white woman here but it's quite disgusting just to look at let alone eat. The veg themselves seemed basically raw but fine and there was a good potion of meat, but the skin was all soggy. Most it is inedible, an absolute waste of money.

Huge difference in takeout vs delivery. Ordered via Uber on a Wednesday night, delivery was real quick but the food was disappointing. Shrimp fried rice had only a handful shrimps hidden under a mountain of rice. Pretty sure the meat in the kung pao chicken was not chicken. It was shredded to such tiny pieces that there was absolutely no way to tell what the meat was. Flavours and portions were good but the overall experience could have been better if they had not skimmed on the main ingredients.
