About Dumplings & Things

Dumplings & Things is a Chinese restaurant situated at 45-26 46th St in Sunnyside, NY, with a focus on noodle and dumpling dishes. As a local Chinese restaurant, it has garnered positive attention for its flavorful offerings and unique noodle texture.

A standout feature highlighted by customers is their noodle soup. The noodles are praised for their chewy and elastic quality, reminiscent of hand-pulled noodles, which is a significant positive for noodle enthusiasts. The broth is described as flavorful, heart-warming, and surprisingly light or low in fat.

Regarding their dumplings, one reviewer noted that the fried dumplings seem to be deep-fried rather than pan-fried. For health-conscious diners, they suggest opting for the steamed or boiled dumplings instead. Another customer found the broth of a noodle dish to be "incredible," attributing a delicious nutty flavor to the addition of sesame oil or a similar ingredient. They also noted that the noodles and vegetables were cooked perfectly. While this reviewer found the dumpling filling to be good but not exceptional, the overall experience was positive.

The service at Dumplings & Things is reported to be good, and the space is described as "nice enough." One minor point of feedback was the preference for real utensils over disposable ones.

Gem 💎! The noodle soup 🍜 noodles have a chewy-ness & 'elasticity' that resembles a hand-pulled style which is a Huge thing for me when it comes to noodles! The broth is also flavorful, heart-warming yet light / low fat 🐮 Note, the fried dumplings 🥟 seem deep-fried as opposed to pan-fried so I would go with the steamed / boiled next time for health reasons!

First of all, the broth is incredible. They add like sesame oil or something to it and it gives it this like nutty flavor that is soooo good. The noodles and vegetables are perfectly cooked and while I wasn’t blown away by the dumpling’s filling, it was still good. The service was good, and the space was nice enough but I wish they had real utensils.

So yummy and great price! Forgot to take photos of the food. Got too excited and ate it. Was all perfect. If you haven’t tried the garlic cucumber you’re missing out!

I have a good stomach, so I can eat most types of food. I don't want to recommend the food here. In particular, the beef noodles are not good. I can't believe I left out all the food at the restaurant. The beef was so tasteless and tasted like blood. To get rid of that taste, I'm drinking Monster Energy Drink.

If you find this review helpful, please hit like. Quality: Excellent Price Point: Cheap, you can eat a meal (5 dumplings and a coke) for about $5 Credit Cards: No, CASH ONLY Service: Quick, although it was quite when I went in. Ambiance: Nice and relaxed. Decent wood furniture and easy to read chalk menu. Music at a reasonable volume, and of course - clean. Clientele: Mixed reflecting the neighborhood, but most importantly I see actual Asian people eating here. What I had: Spicy Beef Dumplings and Pork with Cilantro Dumplings. I had both fried instead of steamed. They were meaty, flavorful, and crispy. Bonus: They are partnered with SpotLuck
