Dumpling House

I’ve been here years ago and it’s still very good! We ordered the pork with chives pan fried dumplings(very tasty and crispy)! We saw that they had a lunch special with come with soup and spring roll! I had the sesame chicken (there were too much sauce but it was tasty), my husband had the Mongolian beef which had way too much sauce, the portion was huge, a lot more than my sesame chicken! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful! I would definitely go back and tried other entrees!

Saw this from “eatindallas” TikTok page and it did not disappoint! We got the beef chow mein, crispy spicy chicken, steamed house signature buns, and the chocolate soup dumplings for dessert. Service was phenomenal and everything had such great flavor! We want to come back and try the pan fried dumplings and soup dumplings.

We stopped by Dumplings House for lunch and had a somewhat mixed experience. The soup dumplings were tasty and hit the spot, but the chocolate dumplings took quite a while to arrive. Service was generally friendly, though a bit abrupt at times. The younger staff, in particular, didn’t seem too enthusiastic — they did their jobs, but it felt like they’d rather be somewhere else. One thing we noticed was the inconsistency in the dumpling sizes — some were noticeably larger or smaller than others, which made the presentation feel a bit off. Also, during our visit, there was a dog inside the premises. It barked a few times, which disrupted the meal a bit. For anyone with allergies or sensitivities, having a dog in a closed dining space might not be ideal. Overall, the food has potential, but the service and environment could use some tightening up.

Tasty dumplings with great service! I will say I definitely preferred the pan fried and steamed dumplings over their soup dumplings. Their green onion pancakes were also tasty. Overall this spot hits the spot though it may be a little pricier than I would expect. If yoy are looking for some dumplings this spot is worth trying!

It's been a while since I last visited Dumpling House. When I entered on a cold winter's day, I noticed the waitress was wearing a puffer jacket and it was really chilly in there. I asked the host to please adjust the heat and he complied. I had the lunch special which was my choice of about ten dishes. I had the Sweet and Sour Pork, which comes with fried rice and Hot and Sour Soup. Honestly, the soup was better than the entrée. I mistook the pork for chicken and sent it back. The host brought it to me, assuring me it was correct. When I was here a couple of years ago, I remembered the pork was generous chunks of meat. Not anymore, but it was okay. I spent maybe 30 minutes in the place, and it never warmed up. I'm sad that Dumpling House has declined because it was such a cozy place. Still, $12.99 is a good price for the large portion received. Maybe get a to-go order.
