The food truck at Cloudburst Brewing offered several vegan options. We had the Garlicky Cucumbers and the House-Made Flatbread Sandwich with tofu. Both were excellent and had a nice spice level. The brewery was pet friendly and offered plenty of seating. We sat outside under the heaters. It was very pleasant on a cool and rainy day.
Plenty of Clouds (food truck inside of Cloudburst) has a great mix of rice, noodle and dumpling dishes. Although their menu is short, they do all dishes very well. The pricing is average and the plates are pretty filling, plus they are delicious. The staff in the truck is always super nice and friendly and willing to give you recommendations when you need them. Would highly recommend eating here if you're going to the brewery.
Got the mala noodles which were probably the worst i ve ever had- the noodles themselves were gummy, and the broth was minimal (not enough to even come half way up the noodles) and not flavorful at all. It was also served warm, not hot which makes it pretty unsatisfying to eat. 2 stars instead of one because I am happy to see Asian food of any type at a brewery and the other toppings were mediocre but totally edible
Cloudburst’s Ballard location has a great atmosphere, and I appreciate that it’s pet-friendly, which makes it a fun spot to hang out with my dog. I’ve also enjoyed their beer selection during my previous visits. This time, I decided to try the food truck everyone talks about, specifically the dan dan noodles. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked and mushy, which ruined the texture for me. The sesame flavor was overwhelming and overpowered any other flavors in the dish. Additionally, there was a tingly sensation in my mouth that I wasn’t expecting and found distracting. It would have been helpful if the menu or staff mentioned that the dish includes Sichuan peppercorns, as the numbing sensation isn’t for everyone. If I had known, I might have chosen a different dish. While I still enjoy the brewery’s atmosphere and beer, I wouldn’t return to the food truck based on this experience. I hope they consider improving the texture of their noodles and balancing the flavors more thoughtfully.
Bomb food with many vegetarian choices! Tons of textures, flavors, and spices! My partner and I love starting with one to share and feel full afterwards but go back for more cuz it’s so good. Well priced for the great quality and the chill atmosphere at Cloudburst can’t be beat. It’s one of our favorite brewery hangs.
