Dragon Wok Express

This place gets a five due to the absolutely amazing food and the reasonably priced menu. There aren’t a lot of options at this outlet mall, so we were so happy to try this place. Each entree comes with noodles or rice, and soup or crab Rangoon. An egg roll is an extra charge. The hot and sour soup was delicious. The pepper shrimp and Kung Pao chicken were so good. The noodles are also delicious. The only downside is that the restaurant is very small and there isn’t a lot of indoor seating. We sat outside where there was additional seating. Thank goodness it was 55 degrees on December 7 or I’m not sure where we would have eaten our food. You order your food as take out. You get a lot of food for the price.

Recently found out that this place was in the Gretna mall so I made the trip out to get some since it’s so much closer than the other location. I walked up and they had the menu on the outside of the restaurant which was really nice so I wouldn’t be inside at the counter looking at it awkwardly before I order. I decided to try something new from the peanut butter chicken I usually get at the other location and ended up with the Szechuan Beef. I walked inside and was greeted with a smile by the friendly staff member who said they would send me a text when my order was done. I decided to walk around the mall a bit instead of waiting inside for it since it was a beautiful day. It was nice to stretch my legs and enjoy the weather and I figured I get to do a whole lap around the place before my food was ready, but it wasn’t even a quarter of a lap before I got the text. They had my food wrapped up in a paper bag on the counter ready to go when I got there and I was soon eating it. The beef was tender and fresh and full of flavor from the sauce. The rice was the perfect consistency and the crab Rangoon’s were perfect. Easily the best Chinese food in the area.

This needs to be one of your stops when visiting the Omaha area. Located at Nebraska crossing this small restaurant gives and inviting experience as well as hot and delicious food. It has authentic flavors that will melt in your mouth! The prices? Affordable! Definitely will be going again!

I’m disappointed to say that the takeout service at this location doesn’t compare to dining in. We’ve had poor experiences three different times, all with takeout orders. When we eat in the store, the experience is fantastic, so it’s especially frustrating that the same level of quality isn’t carried over for takeout. I reached out to the owner almost four days ago, left my information, and he mentioned he would get back to me once he had time, which I totally understand. However, I never received a follow-up call, which only added to my disappointment. I really hope they can address the inconsistency between in-store and takeout service.

The portions were small. The chicken was boring. The walnut sauce was good. Here is the thing....I read that it was the best in Nebraska. It isn't. It was basically OK. The lomein was basically fettuccine noodles with a bit of sauce. No veggies in it at all. Not worth the price at all.
