Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Dragon Village appear to be mixed, with some concerns raised regarding food quality and the restaurant's environment. One customer who ordered chow mein reported an excessive amount of onions and an insufficient quantity of noodles. They also noted that the onions were charred, imparting a burnt taste to the entire dish. Additionally, this customer found the salt and pepper spareribs to be overly salty and tough to chew, indicating potential issues with the preparation and quality of these specific items.
Another customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their order of sesame chicken. They described the dish as consisting mostly of fried clumps of bread and sauce with minimal chicken inside. Furthermore, they were disappointed that fried rice was not included with a $20 plate, and they found the accompanying white rice to be unremarkable. This suggests potential issues with the value and composition of some of Dragon Village's dishes.
Beyond the food quality, this second reviewer also commented on the state of the establishment itself, stating that it is in "real need of remodeling and a paint job." This indicates that the environment of Dragon Village may not be appealing to some customers, potentially impacting the overall dining experience for those choosing to eat at the restaurant. The reviewer concluded by stating their intention to patronize other establishments in the area in the future.
The provided reviews offer insights into specific dishes and the general impression of the restaurant. The negative feedback regarding the chow mein, salt and pepper spareribs, and sesame chicken highlights potential inconsistencies in food preparation and ingredient ratios. The comment about the lack of fried rice with a higher-priced dish and the uninspired white rice suggests a possible lack of perceived value by at least one customer. Moreover, the observation about the need for remodeling and a paint job indicates that the physical environment of Dragon Village might be a concern for some patrons.

Too many onions, not enough noodles in the chow mein. The charred onions made the whole dish taste burnt. The salt and pepper spareribs were salty and tough to chew.
Do you know how when you open the plate and see Sesame chicken is mostly fried clumps of bread and sauce with little chicken pieces inside. Thats what they have. Plus no fried rice with a 20$ plate. And the white rice was nothing to write home about. The establishment is in real need of remodeling and a paint job…I will take my business elsewhere on the island.
Not sure what's up with reviews, this place has the best orange chicken in the East Bay. I hope they add veggie egg rolls to the menu
Family owned, nice, local place that stays open so late sometimes I swear they live in there xD
I moved to the Island a couple of months ago and I haven’t found a real Chinese food spot. I finally gave this restaurant a chance and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, hot, good and great portions. It’s not my favorite Chinese restaurant on the island
