About Dragon Terrace
Welcome to Dragon Terrace, a Chinese restaurant located at 1581 Sycamore Ave, Hercules, CA 94547, USA, serving the local community with a variety of Chinese cuisine. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Dragon Terrace aims to provide a satisfying dining experience for its patrons. You can contact them at (510) 799-3838 or their mobile number, +1 510-799-3838, for inquiries or to place an order. Based on the limited online feedback, customer experiences appear to be somewhat varied, with positive remarks regarding the food and overall ambiance contrasted by a significant negative report concerning takeout service.
Dragon Terrace, as a local Chinese restaurant, seemingly strives to offer a comprehensive dining experience that encompasses not only the quality of its food but also the comfort and service provided to its customers. The positive review highlights several key aspects that contribute to a favorable impression of the establishment. For local users in Hercules looking for a Chinese restaurant that aims to deliver on traditional expectations, Dragon Terrace presents itself as a contender based on one customer's experience.
According to one satisfied customer, the environment at Dragon Terrace is clean, contributing positively to the overall dining experience. Cleanliness is a fundamental aspect of any restaurant, and this positive feedback suggests that Dragon Terrace maintains a satisfactory standard in this regard. This would likely enhance the comfort and confidence of diners choosing to eat at the establishment.
The same positive review also commends the staff as friendly. Friendly staff can significantly enhance the dining experience, making customers feel welcome and valued. This suggests that Dragon Terrace may prioritize good customer relations for dine-in patrons. However, it's important to consider this in light of the contrasting negative experience regarding takeout service.
A notable feature mentioned by a satisfied customer is the provision of hot tea with the meal, described as a "nice little bonus." This thoughtful inclusion can add to the overall value and enjoyment of dining at Dragon Terrace, aligning with the expectations many have for a traditional Chinese restaurant experience.
The quality and quantity of the food at Dragon Terrace have also been positively received by at least one customer, who described the food as "great" with "good portions." This is a crucial aspect for any restaurant, and positive feedback in this area suggests that Dragon Terrace delivers on taste and value in terms of the amount of food provided. The reviewer even went so far as to mark Dragon Terrace as the "best Chinese food place I’ve had in ages," indicating a highly satisfying culinary experience.
However, a starkly contrasting review presents a significant concern regarding the service, specifically for takeout orders. According to this account, a customer attempting to place a takeout order experienced being ignored by two servers for a considerable period of 15 minutes. Subsequently, upon approaching the cashier, the customer was reportedly ignored again. This negative experience was further exacerbated when a server acknowledged and took the order of another customer who entered later, while still failing to acknowledge the first customer, leading them to leave. This review paints a picture of a "very rude establishment" with a severe lack of attention to potential customers seeking takeout service.
The significant disparity between these two reviews suggests that customer experiences at Dragon Terrace can vary considerably. While one customer had an exceptional dine-in experience characterized by great food, good portions, a clean environment, friendly staff, good prices, and the bonus of hot tea, another encountered a complete lack of service and rudeness when attempting to place a takeout order. This inconsistency is an important factor for local users to consider.
Given the limited information, it is not possible to determine if there are any ongoing promotions at Dragon Terrace. Local users interested in potential deals or special offers would need to contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers.
In conclusion, Dragon Terrace in Hercules appears to be a Chinese restaurant that, for some dine-in customers, offers great food, good portions, a clean environment, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, along with complimentary hot tea. One reviewer even considered it the best Chinese food they had experienced in a long time. However, there is a serious concern raised by another customer regarding extremely poor and rude service when attempting to place a takeout order, involving being repeatedly ignored by the staff. This stark contrast in experiences suggests potential inconsistencies in service quality depending on the circumstances (dine-in vs. takeout) or perhaps variations in staff attentiveness. Local users considering Dragon Terrace should be aware of these differing reports when making their decision.

Great food, and good portions. clean restaurant, friendly staff, and good prices. Everything you hope a Chinese restaurant will be when you go out to eat. The hot tea with the meal was a nice little bonus, id mark this as the best Chinese food place I’ve had in ages
I walked in to order some food for takeout. I was ignored by two servers for 15 minutes. I walked up to the front by the cashier to make an order and was ignored again. Another customer walked in who the server knew. She took his order and still not did not acknowledge me so I left. Very rude establishment.
We got here at about 12.30 pm on Wednesday. Plenty of parking on the complex. There are other restaurants around but this was probably the most crowded on a Wednesday afternoon. We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered. The waiter who attended us was knowledgeable and polite. He walked us through their most famous items and we ended up ordering Mongolian beef and Kung pao shrimp as suggested. Mongolian beef was spicy and hit the right spots as always. Plenty of meat pieces in it. Kung pao shrimp had about 8/9 shrimps and delicious as well. Would definitely come back again. The place was crowded and ambiance was nice. If you are around do stop by they are quick and the food was reasonably priced.
We ordered Dried Style Beef Chow Fun, Prawns with General's Sauce, and Rock Cod With Bean Curd Clay Pot. We didn't quite like the chow fun, it lacked taste. But the cod dish and prawns were really good! My fav was definitely the prawns. The fried coating was perfectly done and the sauce was absolutely delicious.
We love this spot , very clean and fresh food . Customer service can be better but it might just be a language barrier so I don’t hold them to it!
