About Dragon Sea

Welcome to Dragon Sea, a Chinese restaurant situated at 703 E 180th St in the Bronx, New York. As a local Chinese restaurant, Dragon Sea offers a variety of dishes from the Chinese culinary tradition. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance, the full range of its services, and any ongoing promotions are not available in the provided information, recent customer reviews offer some insights into the food quality and value offered.

One customer shared their experience with the General Tso's shrimp, noting that the dish itself was "really good." This positive feedback suggests that Dragon Sea has the potential to prepare flavorful and satisfying versions of popular Chinese dishes. However, the same review also raised a significant concern regarding the value of the combination bowl. The customer mentioned that the bowl contained only seven shrimp and that each additional shrimp incurred a cost of $1.50. This pricing structure was perceived as "ridiculous" and led the customer to conclude that the combination bowl was not filling and not worth ordering again unless the quantity of shrimp was increased. This feedback highlights a potential issue with the portion sizes or pricing of certain combination meals.

In contrast to the positive feedback on the General Tso's shrimp, another customer reported a considerably negative experience with multiple dishes. This reviewer described their food as "horrible," starting with the egg roll, which they found to be dry and lacking in flavor. Their experience with the pork fried rice and boneless rib tips was equally unfavorable, with both dishes described as having "no flavor." Furthermore, the customer noted that the rib tips were chewy and not thoroughly cooked. This strongly negative assessment extends to the overall quality of the food, with the reviewer stating, "There’s no flavor in the food whatsoever." Even the egg in one of the dishes was reported to taste like soap and was described as dry and improperly cooked. Based on this experience, the customer explicitly stated that they would not recommend anyone to eat at Dragon Sea.

Considering these two recent reviews, the feedback on Dragon Sea is quite polarized. One customer found a specific dish, the General Tso's shrimp, to be enjoyable in terms of taste but criticized the value and portion size of the combination bowl. The other customer reported a thoroughly negative experience across multiple dishes, citing a lack of flavor, poor texture, and even an unpleasant taste. These contrasting experiences suggest potential inconsistencies in food quality or preparation at Dragon Sea.

The provided information does not include any details about the environment of Dragon Sea. There is no description of the restaurant's interior, decor, or overall atmosphere. Similarly, information regarding the services offered, such as dine-in options, takeout availability, or delivery services, is not mentioned. In conclusion, Dragon Sea, located on E 180th St in the Bronx, is a Chinese restaurant that has received mixed reviews from recent customers. While one customer enjoyed the General Tso's shrimp but raised concerns about the value of the combination bowl, another reported a very negative experience with multiple dishes, citing a lack of flavor and poor preparation. These contrasting opinions suggest that the quality and value at Dragon Sea may be inconsistent. Potential customers should consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to dine here. I tried the general tso's shrimp. It was really good. My only complaint is I got the combination bowl and it only came with 7 shrimp and it was 1.50 extra PER shrimp. That was ridiculous to me. I wouldn't get it again because it isn't filling, but if there was more shrimp this would have been perfect.

I attended this restaurant growing up and never had a bad experience until recently! There used to be a different crew working there, and the food taste better, customer service was better, everything just better! After the switch in workers, I notice a difference in the food, the ice tea has a weird taste(had to mention that) and the customer service no longer superb. However, I really enjoyed there chicken wings, sprinkle with salt was just so delicious! If you haven't tried it, you must! So, even though my experiences there was not that great(after the workers changed), food not that great, and customer service poor, I still looked forward to going just for my chicken wings. What recently turned me off, the last time I visit, one of the employees got on me because the person I was with wasn't wearing a mask. I understand if your upset with me for not wearing a mask, but I can't be held accountable for other people actions. I had already told my sister(the person with me) she needed to put a mask on. The employee really irked me when she said she was going to cancel my order. I eventually got my food but I think that's only because the other workers said something(in my favor, of course) . Not only that, I didn't like how I handle the situation so I tried to apologize to her, even though I sincerely felt SHE was wrong. DO YOU KNOW, she had the audacity to ignore me!? I felt that was unnecessary and extremely RUDE! I've worked in customer service for almost 10 years, and it irks me when I walk into a establishment where PEOPLE know they're going to be interacting with PEOPLE on a daily basis and they DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE! If your not great with PEOPLE than why work in that line of business where you'll have to constantly communicate with PEOPLE. Even if she was uncomfortable she could of clearly communicate that in a respectful manner. It's all about your approach, Proverb 15:1 KJV, "A soft answer, turneth away wrath".
