Based on feedback from local patrons, Dragon's Chinese Grill has garnered attention for several aspects of its offerings. Many customers have specifically praised the quality and taste of their egg rolls, describing them as large and full of flavor. Another standout dish appears to be the Mai gai, which has been highlighted as excellent and served in a generous portion. For those who appreciate a bit of heat, the restaurant has been noted for its willingness to accommodate requests for extra spice, suggesting a degree of customization in their food preparation.

For customers who prefer to dine at the restaurant, Dragon's Chinese Grill does offer a few tables. While one reviewer mentioned primarily using their takeout service, they also observed that the available tables were often occupied, indicating that some patrons do choose to eat on-site. This suggests a casual and accessible dining environment for those looking for a quick and satisfying meal.

However, it's important to provide a balanced perspective based on all available feedback. One customer shared some concerns regarding their dining experience. Notably, they mentioned the absence of complimentary tap water, with bottled water being the only option for purchase. Additionally, the lack of hot tea was surprising to this reviewer, given the common association of tea with Chinese cuisine. Furthermore, this particular customer expressed disappointment with the shrimp in lobster sauce, describing it as tasteless, bland, and having an unappetizing texture, though they found the accompanying rice to be satisfactory.

Despite this particular critique, another long-time customer has consistently enjoyed the food from Dragon's Chinese Grill since its opening. They describe the food as consistently delicious and served piping hot, complemented by very friendly service. This positive recurring experience suggests a level of consistency and quality that many locals appreciate.

In summary, Dragon's Chinese Grill offers a local option for those craving Chinese food in Waynesboro, VA. They seem to excel in certain popular dishes like egg rolls and Mai gai, and are known for their friendly service and willingness to cater to spice preferences. While there have been some comments regarding beverage options and specific dishes, the overall sentiment from at least one long-term customer points to a reliable and enjoyable dining experience. Good news, bad news: The good: great egg rolls! Large and flavorful. Also, Mai gai was excellent and a large serving. The bad: no tap water available - you have to buy a bottle for a buck! And no hot tea! (Is this really a Chinese restaurant?) Finally, avoid the shrimp in lobster sauce - tasteless, bland and a soup in gelatinous something with no hint of lobster - the rice was ok.

I've been enjoying the food here since it opened. The food is always delicious and piping hot with very friendly service. I like my food on the spicier side and they've always been accommodating when I requested some extra kick. I've never eaten in and always ordered to go, however a few tables are available and I've always spotted people using them. Great local Chinese restaurant!

Ordered Take out. Good experience. Service was fast and convenient. Had the Orange Chicken, and the General Tso’s Chicken. The General Tso’s was the right spice and I really enjoyed the way it was prepared.

We ordered lemon chicken and sesame chicken. Both were very disappointing. Neither dish was even finished. Prices are great and the woman working behind the counter was nice but food was not good. I’d recommend New Mings Garden’s Chinese buffet any day in downtown Waynesboro over this.

I stopped by to order takeout at 4PM on a Saturday. I ordered the happy family with fried rice and bourbon chicken with plain rice. The seafood in the happy family had a texture like it was past its use by date. Not gritty like it was over cooked, it was mushy like old shrimp. The bourbon chicken was dried out and I'm pretty sure it was leg meat which takes a long time to dry out. The rice all tasted fresh but the fried rice was bland and so was the happy family. The happy family was also super greasy. I wish I could give it 0/5 for the $40 I paid. The only thing good was the egg roll.
