About Dragon Lee

Welcome to Dragon Lee, your primary and currently only Chinese takeout restaurant option in Warrensburg, New York. Located at 3740 Main St, Warrensburg, NY 12885, USA, Dragon Lee has recently reopened its doors, generating considerable local interest and demand. As a Chinese restaurant catering to the Warrensburg community, Dragon Lee offers a range of familiar and popular Chinese dishes for takeout, providing a convenient option for those seeking a taste of Asian cuisine in the area. Given its recent reopening after a period of closure, Dragon Lee is aiming to re-establish itself as a key part of the local dining scene, particularly as the summer season approaches.

Based on recent customer experiences, the environment at Dragon Lee is currently characterized by high demand and a bustling atmosphere, primarily focused on fulfilling takeout orders. One customer who visited the restaurant to place an order noted that it was "mobbed" on the reopening day. This suggests that Dragon Lee is experiencing a surge in popularity following its reopening, likely due to its status as the sole Chinese restaurant in Warrensburg. While there are no specific descriptions of the interior ambiance for dine-in, the immediate focus appears to be on efficiently processing and preparing a high volume of takeout orders. Customers should be prepared for potential wait times due to this initial rush.

The primary service offered by Dragon Lee at this time is takeout. As mentioned by a customer who attempted to call in an order but had difficulty getting through due to high call volume, going to the restaurant in person to place a takeout order was necessary. This indicates that while phone orders are accepted (phone number: (518) 623-3796, mobile phone: +1 518-623-3796), customers might experience busy lines, especially during peak hours or immediately following the reopening. The reported 30-minute wait time for a takeout order on the reopening day underscores the current high demand. Despite the wait, at least one customer found it to be "worth the wait," suggesting that the quality of the food is a significant draw.

Dragon Lee's menu includes a variety of combination dinners and individual dishes. One customer ordered the dinner combo of pork lo mein with fried rice and egg roll, as well as the dinner combo of shrimp in lobster sauce with fried rice and egg roll, and an order of steamed dumplings. Feedback on these items was mixed but generally positive. The "pork lo mein" was described as "excellent," indicating a strong point in their offerings. The "shrimp in lobster sauce" was noted for being "swimming in sauce" and containing artificial "crab" pieces instead of real lobster, which the customer found acceptable given the likely expectation. The addition of green peas was considered a "nice touch," although the sauce was deemed "definitely too much." This suggests that while the flavor profile might be appealing, some dishes might have an excess of sauce.

The "steamed dumplings" received a more nuanced review. The filling was described as "nice," but the dough was noted to be "very thick," becoming "chewy as the dumplings cool off." This indicates that while the taste of the filling is satisfactory, the texture of the dough might be a point for improvement, especially for takeout orders that might not be consumed immediately. Despite these specific critiques, the overall sentiment from this customer suggests a willingness to order again, especially given the limited options in the area.

Another customer provided a more enthusiastic review, humorously comparing the experience to a hypothetical offspring of Bruce Lee and a Dragon, dubbing it "lil' Dragon Lee" and using fire emojis to express their satisfaction. This reviewer specifically mentioned the "pineapple" in their "General Tso's Chicken," which they found to be a pleasant and noteworthy addition, indicating a willingness to offer unique twists on classic dishes. The fact that this customer stated, "I will be back and I don't care how long the wait is," further emphasizes the appeal of Dragon Lee's food to some patrons.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. As a newly reopened establishment, Dragon Lee may be focusing on managing the initial high demand and re-establishing its reputation. To inquire about any potential specials, discounts, or promotions that might be available, it is advisable to contact Dragon Lee directly at (518) 623-3796. They would be the best source for any current offers aimed at attracting and retaining customers in the Warrensburg area, especially as they aim to remain open throughout the summer season.

In conclusion, Dragon Lee is currently the sole Chinese takeout restaurant in Warrensburg, NY, experiencing high demand following its recent reopening. While customers should be prepared for potential wait times, the food generally receives positive feedback, with the pork lo mein and the unique General Tso's Chicken with pineapple being highlighted. The shrimp in lobster sauce contains artificial crab and has a generous amount of sauce, while the steamed dumplings have a tasty filling but a thick dough. Despite some mixed reviews on specific aspects, the overall sentiment suggests that Dragon Lee provides a worthwhile option for Chinese takeout in Warrensburg, and many locals are hopeful for its continued operation. For any information on promotions or to place an order, please call Dragon Lee at (518) 623-3796 or visit them at 3740 Main St.

Reopened today. Hard to get a call to go through so went to restaurant to order. Mobbed. Waited at least 30 minutes for take out. Ordered the dinner combo of pork lo mien with fried rice and egg roll and the dinner combo shrimp in lobster sauce with fried rice and egg roll. Also an order of steamed dumplings. Pork lo mien excellent. Shrimp in lobster sauce was swimming in sauce and it’s not lobster but artificial “crab” pieces. Did not expect real lobster so not really disappointed. Green peas a nice touch but definitely too much sauce. Dumplings had a nice filling but very thick dough which gets chewy as the dumplings cool off. If you want a Chinese takeout meal this is the only restaurant in Warrensburg. It has been closed for a while so hopefully it will remain open for the summer season.

There was a long wait and I can now see why. It was worth the wait. If Bruce Lee had a baby with a Dragon, you will get lil' Dragon Lee 👶 🔥. I will be back and I don't care how long the wait is. There was pineapple in my General Tso's Chicken and I was like Dang Dragon Lee...okay, I see what you did there 🔥.

I am from a city in VA that is rich in Asian cuisine and I found Dragon Lee to be good for Americanized Fujian / Szechuan style dishes. It is a surprise to find a good Americanized Chinese restaurant in far north. Fried rice, lo mein, general tso tofu, wonton soup and chef special with no pork soup were ordered. They were delicious. Complimentary Jasmine tea is good. Service is good. Typical Chinese restaurant interior environment which I seen many times in good restaurants in DC area. Recommend for Americanized Chinese foods when you need a break from White people food or crave for saucy foods 😋😊

Absolutely the worst chinese food my group has ever had. I'm not sure how they can mess up chinese food. I was in a group of 7 and all of our food was unbearable we were starving before and after leaving. I would highly recommend trying something else. I'd give a negative review if I could. We definitely ate there Thursday. Should have known better buy being the only restaurant in site that wasn't packed due to americade. So yea we definitely gave it a shot. We definitely wish you were closed, we wouldn't have tried to get in. You should probably really think about closing for good. The food was that bad. Picture to prove we were there. I have better things to do than create bad reviews on horrible chinese food. That 40 dollars was for 2 people not 7 because you don't serve tables
