About Dragon King
Dragon King is a Chinese restaurant located at 2632 Third Ave in the Bronx, New York City. As a new addition to the Chinese Restaurant category in the area, Dragon King recently celebrated its opening week. The restaurant garnered some initial attention, including a review from someone invited by their "DK team" to sample the food and share information about their grand opening promotion, which included a buy one get one free deal.
According to this initial review, the food at Dragon King was described as "good and on brand with Chinese cuisine flavors." The reviewer ordered a Singapore Mei Fun, a dish consisting of rice noodles seasoned with curry and chili flakes, and containing chicken, shrimp, and pork. They also ordered a General Tso Chicken Combo, which came with pork fried rice and four chicken wings on the side. This reviewer found the meal to be "pretty good" and "pretty filling," noting that the portions were "a little more than usual." The positive initial feedback suggests that Dragon King aims to provide satisfying portions of familiar Chinese-American dishes.
However, a subsequent review presents a more critical perspective. This customer mentioned visiting Dragon King based on a recommendation they saw on TikTok. During their visit, they ordered half a chicken fried rice and the Singapore Mei Fun, along with vegetable soup and homemade iced tea and homemade lemonade. Contrary to the earlier positive review, this customer expressed significant disappointment with the flavor of the food. They stated that even after adding soy sauce, there was "barely any flavor." The homemade iced tea and lemonade were also criticized for lacking taste and seeming like they were made from powdered drink with very little actual flavoring, just enough for color. This stark contrast in reviews highlights a potential inconsistency in the food quality or preparation, or perhaps differences in individual taste preferences and expectations.
The limited information available does not provide many details about the environment or ambiance of Dragon King. One review mentions "delicious visuals" of the food being captured, suggesting that the presentation might be appealing. However, there is no description of the restaurant's decor, seating arrangement, or overall atmosphere. As a newly opened establishment, Dragon King might still be establishing its ambiance and customer experience.
Regarding services, the fact that a reviewer was invited to review the restaurant implies that Dragon King is actively seeking to promote its offerings and engage with the community. The mention of a "DK team" suggests a focus on marketing and outreach. The grand opening promotion of "buy one get one free" indicates an initial strategy to attract customers and generate buzz. Beyond this, the reviews do not provide information about services such as dine-in, takeout, or delivery options, or the attentiveness of the staff.
The features of Dragon King appear to be centered around offering standard Chinese-American cuisine, with dishes like Singapore Mei Fun and General Tso Chicken being mentioned. The slightly larger than usual portions noted in one review could be considered a feature aimed at providing good value to customers. However, the inconsistency in flavor reported by another customer could detract from this perceived value.
The grand opening promotion of "buy one get one free" was a temporary feature intended to draw in new customers during the restaurant's initial period. As the reviews are from around the opening week, it is unclear whether this promotion is still ongoing. Local users interested in any current promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly.
The contrasting customer experiences present a challenge in providing a definitive introduction to Dragon King. While the initial review suggests a positive start with flavorful food and generous portions, the subsequent review raises concerns about a lack of flavor in key dishes and the poor quality of the homemade beverages. This inconsistency could be due to various factors, such as initial opening week efforts versus regular operations, or differences in the specific dishes ordered and individual palates.
For local users in the Bronx, particularly those in the vicinity of Third Avenue, Dragon King offers a new option for Chinese cuisine. The menu includes familiar dishes, and there was an initial promotion to attract customers. However, the mixed reviews regarding the flavor of the food and the quality of the drinks indicate that the dining experience may vary. Potential customers might want to consider these differing opinions when deciding whether to try Dragon King.
To get a more comprehensive understanding of the current environment, services, and food quality at Dragon King, local users may want to visit the restaurant in person or contact them directly at (718) 402-3809 or +1 718-402-3809. Inquiring about their current menu, any ongoing promotions, and perhaps seeking more recent customer feedback could provide a clearer picture of what to expect from this new Chinese restaurant in the Bronx.

Congratulations to Dragon King on their opening week!!! I was originally invited here by Damon from their DK team to review the restaurant and spread the word on their buy one get one free deal for their grand opening. Thank you so much for the invitation as it was my pleasure to come out and capture delicious visuals of your food. The food was good and on brand with Chinese cuisine flavors. I ordered a Singapore Mei Fun which consists of rice noodles seasoned with curry and chilli flakes with proteins being chicken, shrimp and pork. I also ordered a General Tso Chicken Combo with pork fried rice and 4 chicken wings on the side. Pretty good, pretty filling and the portions and a little more than usual.
So, first time here. Went because it came recommended through tik tok. We had half a chicken fried rice, and the Singapore mei fun. Vegetables soup and homemade ice tea and homemade lemonade. Disappointing, even with adding the soy sauce, there was barely any flavor. The home made ice tea and lemonade were lacking. It tasted like powdered drink and barely any, enough for color. What happened?
This place is has the worst service ever I ordered twice and they made my order completely wrong with the simple instructions given when I informed the woman who answers the phone she care to resolve the issue. Don’t eat here their service is trash and they don’t care about the customers. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON DELIVERIES SAUCE ON THE SIDE DOSENT MEAN NO SAUCE AT ALL.
I got a buy one get one free order from Uber is more selective than an in-store order. The food delivered is still warm, the most recommended is General Tso chicken and BBQ rib tips ,of course and chicken wings, different flavors of chicken wings are also a good choice
I am beyond disgusted. A whole dead fly in my food. YOU NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. Calling the Health Department.
